Get yourself over to Donington Park on 24th July for the Porsche Club track day and ask ChrisW to give you some passenger laps in his GT4. He will be more than happy to. That will give you a good insight into what they are like.
Chris is great driver and he is mighty in that car.
spectating is free, passenger lap is a tenner and plus helmet hire.

I'm working that day but might pop over for the afternoon if I can and would be happy to chat about them in the paddock.

Hi, it’s my first Porsche track day that day, was looking at buying a helmet but if you can hire one that’s great! What can I expect from the day? Passenger laps sound like a good idea to start! Chris is great driver and he is mighty in that car.

Came very close to selling it 2 months ago but didn't really know what to get next and then was worried I might regret it as the same spec migjy be a difficult find so ended up having to pull out of the deal.
Ideally I'd like one car as I have a company car which is maintained and big cheap, the odd track day, ring trip and mainly road hooning. Hence though the GT4 does tick all the boxes apart from the extra 30K lol.
Any recommendation on brake pads for track work, tyres now the car is out of warranty id like Cup's if I can find them in the right size.
endless if you have deep pockets, or the normal RS29 or DS1.11.Ideally I'd like one car as I have a company car which is maintained and big cheap, the odd track day, ring trip and mainly road hooning. Hence though the GT4 does tick all the boxes apart from the extra 30K lol.

Great, so just like a normal track day.
If TDT and ChrisW are ok to take me out and do not have other passengers then I may pop down for sure.
Donington is my local, well 1hr, had alot of fun there.
bare in mind Chris GT4 is a Manthy set up pocket rocket with 3 way race shocks, loads of custom Manthy bits and massive ST ceramic disks. If TDT and ChrisW are ok to take me out and do not have other passengers then I may pop down for sure.

It very far from OEM how it handles imo. Might be a bit misleading and offer zero insight into what they are like lol , but shows what can be done I guess.

Very true of course but TDT will be there and can give JayK12 a comparison of what a standard car with a good driver can do. If I manage to make it I'll not be on track but he can have a pootle around the paddock in mine...as long as he resists doing doughnuts in it! It very far from OEM how it handles imo. You could give go too and show us how the latest GT3 compares.

No deep pockets here lol, RS29 probably. How does the stock fluid cope, used Castrol SRF in my previous track cars which did fine.
any high end stuff is fine. I would try DS1.11 over RS29, I have ran 4 or 5 sets of RS29's and they do make a mess of wheels and can be noisy. But not tried DS1.11 , just saying I would prob try those if I had steels.

Mr D - are you attending in a new GT3, would a passenger lap be possible?
Deffo going to try and come to this to finally meet some of you guys, and hopefully some passenger laps etc.
Thanks guys!

Good point, would be great to experience though, but also completely fk me up and I'd want one lol. Boxsey would be good to catch up in the paddock mate, even a passenger on the the road would be appreciated.

OK I'll try to get there about lunchtime and park up wherever ChrisW is. Two x racing yellow GT4 should make it easy to pick us out. Mr D - are you attending in a new GT3, would a passenger lap be possible?

David, you forgot to mention the the wheels are khaki green ... and the ST's are virtually the same size as standard PCCB's ... they just cool a lot better
