Great, I will book that too - Anyone else coming, TDT, 911R? Nearly convinced the wife to come, so she can see the GT4s in action and how I need one!!
I'm trying to juggle a couple of things around to get available - but a work engagement has just been signed off this morning and is due to start on the 13th.boxsey said:
1.17 laps! Would take an amazing driver to manage that in real life. Meanwhile in the real world, I'm off to book the evening on the 13th with Opentrack.
The best I've managed so far is 1.19.22 ... it was a little hot on Wednesday and ended up in the low .21's .... I always drive what I have and, accepting that sometimes I am getting slower, I'm very happy after the event to be comfortable with the tidiest lines and speed I can carry on the day !!Porsche911R said:

Had a quick go, played around with camber and toe and tyre pressures. You were right 1:15 is doable. Can still go abit faster.
Back to you now )
you have me, 1.16.4 is my best, cannot go faster seem to have tyre warming up issues up front !Back to you now )
Try my setup, I forgot to save it so this is from memory (Im running 26 degree ambient temp and Optimum track surface)
Fuel 4
Tyres LF 24 , LR 25, RF 25, RR 26
Camber Front -2.2, Rear 1.8
Toe Front 0, Rear 15 or 10 (think 10)
Ride Height Front and Rear 10
I use Protyres to monitor temps but found it you have to nail the lap on lap 2 or 3 due to tyres wear.

I played about with the setup to get better turn in and more stability when trailing.

did a 1.16.2 now on mine. but the rears too loose with your rear toe for me.
My tyres were about that anyway in PSi.
I don't really like AC it has really bad snap over steer, I find it frustrating to drive.

EDIT: I tried the above setup to make sure it was what I had done my 1.15.8 on and ended up getting a 1.15.3 with that setup. Here is the video, got redgate sooo bang on. Wasn't my best 3rd sector, so a 1.15.1 can be had.

Kudos for turning a GT4 for sale thread into a driving thread!
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16...
The cars are with proper owners now… drivers, not speculators. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=16...
Porsche GB & Retail should take note.
Just spoke with OpenTrack - As I have a soft top I need a full face helmet, and no helmet cams, can have suction mount aslong as its tethered.
Still planning on coming, just need to dig my full face lid out, and find a spare!
EDIT: Open face allowed if roof is up. Happy days.

37 up for sale on PH right now. That’s quite a lot, I can feel a price drop coming once the new one is announced and some unhappy GT4 owners losing a chunk of change.
not really, the people with them now stand the most chance of part exing for the new one if they wish, so a 4 year old car might have cost you £5k to use .£800 a year ! not many cars you can say that for. All depends if they make a LOT of new GT4's or if it is much better or not, if not many slots it will be a fist fight for the cars which are going to be £100k at overs making a £70k one look tempting. Lets not forget they were only £64k new ! such amazing value and £10k got you every thing you would wish for in options. When you are in the circle of these cars and not flipper you do get offered the next ones without much hassle.Porsche911R said:

I'd be willing to place a bet on the answer being "a lot". With all the 911 GT products squeezed into this year there's nothing else for the GT departments to make. I'd expect quite a long production run. Be interesting to see how they price it....at some stage surely they have to change the price point of the GT cars. I reckon specced they'll be over £90k this time...maybe even nudging £100k.
