What does "cap clean" mean folks?

Thanks,

Current average price.

In the case of the GT4 at BCA it is trade price guide in clean condition.

This caught my eye when I was picking my old 911 up from servicing yesterday. Always been tempted, but lacks back seats that are a supposed 'must have' of the missus frown

Nice spec if slightly bizarre having ceramics on a clubsport GT4.

But high mileage for a GT4.

Ceramics are a bargain over steels if you want them though on a GT4 as they are worth little more retail than steel braked cars.

13K is high mileage for the price, or high mileage for a GT4.... if the latter, then no wonder, people are hacked off.
They are made for driving.... ridiculous.

+1 Ridiculous to think that 13K is high mileage. Maybe high mileage against the other 30 or the so that might be for sale at the moment but I'll wager that there are plenty of the other 570 that will have done 13K or more by owners that realize that they're at the best when driven rather than hiding in a garage.

I've done 16k on mine. I've probably bankrupted myself. Oh well. They were good miles. From mountain passes to driving to work to hand in my resignation and >100 laps of the ring all good memories. Oh look at that. It's been tracked. Heavily. I should probably just take it to the scrapyard as nobody will buy it now.

JESUS. What is with the car industry in this country?!?! My friends in Germany have done 30k km in their GT cars and don't flinch at the thought of adding more. Why the hell would anyone buy one of these cars and not drive it? I only drive mine once or twice a week and I've managed 10k in just over a year. What are people doing to add only 1000 miles a year? Thats a trip to the dealer and back for a service and maybe a few drives. What is the point?

They don't break. I keep mine on the street. It isn't rusty. My neighbours like looking at it. I like looking at it. If I put it in the garage, I can't be bothered to go get it and drive it when I have the opportunity!

Just thought I'd put this here. Decided to read the start of this thread. Pleased to see that you can't now buy one of these excellent little cars for 45k.
To those of us that haven't got one, that's rather annoying... wink

Both.

The price of Porsche GTs like any other car at this price point is adversely affected by mileage.

Like any car. A 3 year old e.g. £7k Astra with say 20k miles is worth c£500 more than the same car with 30k miles. Take it to the other extreme and for cars at say £250k the difference in mileage will have a huge impact on value. And rightly so.

Who would choose a higher mileage car over a lower mileage one all other things being the same? Unless the higher mileage one is proportionately cheaper.

Are you talking about my old car at Newcastle? You won’t get it much cheaper than they’re asking as it owes them nearly that. We get lots of ‘we have very little margin in the car sir’ but in this case they actually don’t smile

It’s a cracking car, buy it!
It is now 73k

I avoid nackered leather seats, maybe others feel the same way.
just a personal pet hate people sitting on the side bolsters bending the crap out of them.
I always think if they cannot be arsed to look after their own cars it's prob been bouncing off the limited from cold also.

Mates just bought a 06 Porker seats look newer than those.
I find most of the flipped GT cars seem to have bent leather seats and the private sale one owner cars have perfect seats !

Your not meant to drive these things, the idea is you spend all your time on Gassing Station telling people how wonderful they are.

Don’t tell me 911r cars coming up for sale soon!

Just because someone has leather seats which have creases on them doesn’t mean it’s been abused from cold! Maybe it just means it’s been driven and enjoyed like it’s designed.

not really, why make personally comments ? I just don't like cars with creased side bolsters, I would not even go and see it.

As I said my mate picks up a very nice 06 car and the seats look like new I guess that's why that one has sold.
