Whilst owned by RPM it had 3 track days in the UK (two of those were evenings), road trips to Spain and the South of France, Porsche Museum and a day at Spa. It was always maintained to the highest order and also had a new gearbox under Porsche warranty so most of the miles were European road trips. They'd be happy owning it again if in the market for one.
New gearbox under the recall? On RPM website it says it did four track days, the next owner did one track day, so its had two owners, and then RPM sold it on at 16K miles and then it ended up at Kaaimans at 17K miles. So three owners, i've been told two so I guess someone didnt register it.

Anyhow waiting for more info and PX price on mine before anything else.

There's always an element of risk when you buy used, otherwise we'd all buy new..When i was shopping for a 458 end of last year i was very particular on the colour and spec i wanted..I came close to buying one private until the owner(decent guy) pointed out the the black roof(which i wanted) was wrapped..
I bided my time until the perfect one came along and full Ferrari SH, last one just done and a glowing Ferrari health check..After all my checks i bought it unseen and its a beauty.
The moral of this story is if you have certain misgivings about this GT4, give it a miss as a better one always comes along, if you keep looking..Do all due diligence and then follow you instincts and don't take too much advice on forums..IMHO

If you can get a deal on it… it’s worth a go.
As has been said… well maintained by a reputable Indy.
Most of the actual mileage is motorway.
Get the 111 point check done and PCCB wear.
Then negotiate a fair price.
At that point.… you leave it with the seller to make a decision.
It’s a nice spec car for actually driving. So it’s just about buying right and holding onto it for a while. Would be an awesome project car.

All of this. No amount of hand wringing is going to change it, life is too short. Rehearses tedious point about if were any other make of car you'd buy it expecting it to lose £30k in three years in any case.

If I were in the market, this would be the one for me.

Whilst 911 R may be aggressive in his valuation he has a point about not having an OPC history. JZM have a PTS Voodoo Blue Boxster Spyder which they’ve had for at least four months now, it’s priced at the top end of the range without a doubt but it’s PTS. As was discussed on here it’s been serviced by JZM rather than OPC’s....I think on such a new car it’s a big problem as far as perception goes. I don’t know what the implications are for warranty renewal are either ?

I’ve no clue about the PCCB’s either but you have to be concerned.

Car needs to be cheap IMHO

When Porsche announced that the warranty could be extended to 15 years, therefore 996 GT3's could be covered, OPC Leicester contacted me and blah blah blah but as long as it had been looked after by a reputable specialist, there wouldnt be an issue with applying an extended warranty.

Probably worth searching the other threads for it than going into in the GT4 thread, plus Demon pops up with his £50k refresh comments and we derail this thread into a slinging match and what not. But apart from the normal, mines been good

They use this device, it has alignment points with specific measurements stamped on the bell that can then be checked to correctly ascertain wear:

The average price seems to have risen too. They’re very hot property at the moment. Birch green Bolton car gone too.

I can only imagine that with all this talk of a 90k base price gen 2, it’s affecting the market.

Spyders are down to 6 on the locator too, from 12.

more to do with a working gear box imo. as it put people minds at rest.

Said it before it's an easy car to mod but was too risky with that gearbox.

I really don't get the negativity towards the news that GT4s are selling. The fact that the OPC stock is going down is only the same as we saw this time last year. Down to 14 today. As then, the lower priced ones have gone and therefore the average price has gone up compared to a couple of months ago. Nothing surprising in that.

The only thing surprising is that Porsche has just changed the layout of the on-line locator which is pants imo!

Do OPC's have a time limit for SOR's?
