12 GT4's for sale on PistonHeads and growing
Discussion
Couldn't help but think of this thread when I was uploading this vid with all the chat of radicals and Knockhill a few pages back. Here's me having a play with a GT2 RS and there's a GT4 on there as well to keep it relevant to this thread!
It highlights the differences we were discussing between a Radical and Porsche on track quite well.

It’s not mention in the advert that it is a lemon? https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Take care with this one though, as it was written off on the way home from new OPC collection years ago!
Slippy slip road and central reservation Armco after only 216 miles
It was written off, categorised and paid out in full.
Now HPI clear and the most expensive GT4 on PH.
Do you know how its HPI clear if declared as a total loss? - Or is it the case that the seller has declared it HPI clear and not HPI themselves? (The ad has been removed!)Slippy slip road and central reservation Armco after only 216 miles

16 cars on OPC locator today (up by 1 from middle of last month). Average price £81,241 (down £433 on last month). Lowest price £73,500 (at Mid sussex, 24,600 miles but full spec not listed yet). Highest price £86995.
So when the older cars are now outside the factory warranty, the dealer asking prices are still close to the prices at which they were sold when new ...16 cars on OPC locator today (up by 1 from middle of last month). Total loss due to damage, repaired, classification removed, up for sale at high value perfect history cars.
HPI are not interested if approached about it.
I guess the dealer knows the game is up on that car now!
Due to small GT4 numbers and forums like this, I guess an advert will always get noticed and flagged.
They’ll either have to sell it from their forecourt to a passer by, or sell cheaper for export.

Limited number, or special in some way Porsche models often appreciate / fluctuate in value.
When the 718GTS arrives, we’ll see the average GT4 cars soften in price a bit,
The cars in interesting colours (and PTS)in the right spec, with low miles, will probably ride that out and always be worth a premium.

The only classification removal I can think of is "condition inspected" on the HPI but it should never be "clear"Total loss due to damage, repaired, classification removed, up for sale at high value perfect history cars.
