Unusual colour (PTS if poss), buckets, leather dash, xenons, sound pack, Chrono and PCM. Club sport would be a massive bonus as would climate and cruise.
I would like something low ish miles so I can use it with out keep worrying about how many miles it’s done.
I don’t think there is a ‘perfect’ spec GT4? Unlike the Cayman R where it had to be; Manual, buckets, PSE, xenons before people would say it’s the right spec. All IMO obviously.
very small % R had xenons so there is no choice when buying.I would like something low ish miles so I can use it with out keep worrying about how many miles it’s done.

one could say the crono clock is pointless, I did not spec it in my GT4, it did nothing !
right spec on a GT4 is personal as its mainly down to the 3 seats you like or dislike.

Yep its only a guide but accurate on the GT4 nevertheless.
Trade prices and retail asking prices are miles apart on all performance cars. Gt4 is no different to a gt3 or a 458 / 720s. Markets flat, good friend just got a very big discount of a new 991 4s built to his spec.... signs of the times. GT4RS said:

Its hard when you see 20+ for sale but none of them fit your bill, when looking there were certain options I was looking for and at one point when looking there was over 35 for sale but none in the spec I wanted, took over 8months for the right car to come along and for me when spending my hard earned cash it had to be right, I am sure the right car will be along soon I would like something low ish miles so I can use it with out keep worrying about how many miles it’s done.

What did you end up with and what car did you come from to a GT4?
Sapphire blue, carbon pack, club sport, 918 seats, extended leather, steel brakes, chrono, grey stitching, smokers pack, ally pedals, alcantara sun visors, leather surround, sound package just to name few options which I wanted, as from what car I came from to the GT4, E46 M3 clubsport which I still own, regardsEdited by 04BAP on Sunday 2nd February 21:00

Reasonable on Bluetooth with the volume up (unless it's got heavy bass, then you get a lot of door vibration) but not so great on low volume. My Fiesta Mk8 daily absolutely blows it out of the water for sound quality and staging....but then I never got the GT4 to commute in so I'm not so bothered! It's certainly better than the base stereo in my mates GLC 63AMG....which is truly shocking! How good is the Sound Pack Plus? I’ve never heard it, but i’ve BOSE in my company car.

If you fine tune the settings Bose is excellent.
However you tune the settings it's crap. I've done back to back tests with my home 2.1 system on my computer (not my home hifi!) and played with the settings ad nauseam. Others have stuffed the port on the sub and replaced the tweeters - people don't do that if it's excellent. Even then it's still crap because the midrange is poor. But having said all that, it's pretty much irrelevant since road noise is so high at speed that you can't listen to music anyway. If you fine tune the settings Bose is excellent.

Well in my opinion the Bose in my car sounds fantastic...maybe your ears are broken?
Well they (amongst quite a few others) are tuned quite differently for yours. Why would anyone (not me) go to the bother of stuffing the subwoofer port or replacing the tweeters if they were any good?Edited by bcr5784 on Monday 3rd February 20:09

My 2pence worth for what it’s worth:
Porsche GT cars have always had dreadful sound systems. Presumably because there are other priorities in the design and development process. Every GT car that I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had a few, whatever sound system I have specified has sounded pants especially at speed where the road noise, exhaust noise, mechanical noise all dominate. My 981 GT4 had SPP and it was crap. Don’t get me wrong I love the cars it’s just a minor niggle of mine. I just don’t bother with it and enjoy the car for what it is.
The notable exception is my 718 Spyder with Burmester. This is actually quite good and very enjoyable. I love it. At last

I have to say I never give the sound system a second thought - I want to hear the car instead - in fairness though, lucky you’ve found a sound system you like in the 718 so at least you can mask out the engine noise - LOL Porsche GT cars have always had dreadful sound systems.
