My loan car today was a Boxster 981 2.7 with PSE.
What a constant drone at 1600 - 3000 RPM! Gave me a headache after some dual carriageway/motorway driving. Roof up all the time.
Blasting away from the lights with the windows open gave a momentary spurt of fun loudness, but I think I'd soon tire of it.
Boys' toys I guess, and I'm no longer one.
Yes, I have a Cayman 981 2.7 WITHOUT PSE. I feel having a little switch that makes extra noise is a little childish. But I am 43 years old and very cynical about most things in life nowadays What a constant drone at 1600 - 3000 RPM! Gave me a headache after some dual carriageway/motorway driving. You can't remove the mechanical connections between the steering wheel and wheels and expect it to have the same
They didn't, I think you may have misunderstood how EPAS works....Now I understand that it's the electrical assist motor that robs the feel, but there is still a rack and pinion connection. Thanks. I guess we'll have true drive-by-wire steering to look forward to in the future.
