Interesting comment there.
I too have had xenon lamps on almost all my cars for ages now and I agree theyre superb. However the standard halogens on my Cayman R must have some VooDoo going on with them as theyre superb. The beam pattern on them is super clear bright and clean. The car doesn't need xenons at all in my opinion.
while imo all the lights are crap in the 987 range even xenons, must be the light design, I find xenons don't add much In this platform, Audi lights are twice as bright.I too have had xenon lamps on almost all my cars for ages now and I agree theyre superb. better off with some rally bulbs. I would take xenons on a 987 over normal but don't expect Audi brightness and if you are building a hot rod forget xenons as they add loads of weight, need more water and electrics and height adjustments and washers etc. all items which fail in the long run.

Made a big difference over the standard xenons for a reasonable price.
This might be a Cayman R to avoid buying...shame it looked such a nice example too.

So the time has come for a change and I'm thinking of selling my m3 csl and getting a Cayman R
I should get around 45k for the bmw which seems to be around the advertised prices for a good spec Cayman
There's a car advertised at Porsche centre Teeside that ticks all the Boxes bar the ceramic brakes (yes even the colour!)
As with the csl the car will get very little use barring the odd Sunday blast and a few track days
I'd appreciate any pointers or advice in my search or if anyone knows of any cars coming up for sale to let me know

Does not seem to be many manuals for sale atm but a rare car with the right spec cira 40 UK cars, manual, buckets, spyder wheels.
I think the Teeside one is sold and it has no Sports crono.
So only JZM car for sale atm in manual, buckets again no Sports chrono.
SC really needed in this car imo, as the throttle is a bit lifeless without and the PSM is a bit nanny also SC gives you a nice slip angle..
So I have the only UK car for sale in Manual, Buckets, Spyder wheels, SC, PSE, Short shift, Bose under 30k miles.
the last one for sale was the red one at 911V, slippys on here, sold in days.
will be on show at Silverstone classic in the PCGB area my mobile number will be on the parking slip.

No it's not ! I would sell it with a current passed 111 OPC check on it.
Fair enough, you'd put it back to standard... Hang on - Does that mean you'd fit N spec tyres? Times have changed Mr D... Edited by Porsche911R on Thursday 27th July 16:37
Genuine question: Does it have extended leather?
Not so genuine: Will it need a £5k refresh?
