High mileage and black...

The 911Virgin car is very close to my spec, but I'm holding out for leather and nav.

The badly specced one at Aston Martin has the front bumper stickers on upside down, strangely??? Despite only having 9k miles...

Anyone know if 18s fit over pccbs? (for track duty)

TIA.
I looked in the winter wheel brochure and it says nothing about 18s not fitting over ceramics so this might work.

Like you suggest I used to use 18s for track work (but with steel brakes, I've not personally tried 18s with ceramics). Preferred the feel and the tyres were half the price smile

I have a set of 18" Cayman S II wheels in the garage you are welcome to try them and see if they fit.

Keep finding myself looking at the R that 911V have for sale.... Resisting picking up the phone so far but resistance is futile....

Thoughts on the car / spec?
should have kept that 911 GTS of yours :-) 911V car is very nice.

I still might sell mine, PM me, it has all the main bits, white, 27k miles, I would take £43k so 3k cheaper than the 911V car, full OPC history etc etc.
While I won't put an advert up yet if some one wants to hand me over some money It's hard to turn down. I need the funds at some point to pay off the GT3.

Shocked the 911V car has not sold yet, not many nice manuals about with Buckets, Spdyers sub 30k miles. like 2 !

997 GTS whilst a great car it was PDK and I craved a manual.... GT4 itch now scratched and sold on. Bought an E92 M3 Comp pack for daily duties and fancy something for occasional weekend use...

Will send you a PM regarding the spec on your R......

I forgot it was PDK :-(

I had a M3 Comp pack car it lasted 2 months lol , but a great engine and you can teach yourself how to drift in it :-)
It's just too big over the older M3's I thought and you can tell the extra weight on the back roads.

Thanks for the offer but I don't have one yet, hence the question, but the hunt is officially on! wink

Is that why it's got Cup 2s? wink

It's been for sale there since September I think...

ETA, it's now reserved...

I did mention that my resistance to call Tom at 911V was futile......

Cayman R deposit paid! Car is great spec (has the essentials in my opinion - buckets, manual, PSE, short shift, Spyders, Sports chrono, air-con, Alcantara package), just 2 owners, low mileage, fantastic condition & history, enthusiast owned and i'm happy with the price. Yes it would be nice to have a car with leather dash and PCM etc but finding that car would prove more difficult than getting a slot on a new GT car!!! LOL

Not many people in car sales I trust but Tom at 911V is the exception to that rule. Super honest, no bulls**t, knows my expectations (apparently i'm a discerning buyer - think that's Tom's description of fussy/particular/exacting!) and a lovely guy to deal with. This is the 2nd Porsche I've bought from him and he could teach OPC's a lot about customer care and professionalism. There again, its the OPC networks inability to please a lot of us enthusiasts that allows businesses like 911V and JZM etc to thrive.

Looking forward to driving the R and comparing with the GT4.

It is literally the last car Porsche made with real steering feed back. No wonder people keep hold of them now and they fetch the prices.
I am doing every thing in my power to keep it, but it's a fine line atm.

Hmm... can you sell abroad easily enough? Decent premium that.

I suspect they'd pay less for a RHD just like we pay less for a LHD, negating any premium...

Ta - Worth investigating at the current exchange rate maybe. €70k = £61.8k

Yep it’s the cup 2’s that convinced me that it’s my old car. Awesome thing!
