It is hardly a compelling description either with a strong price tag.

It is a bit toppy considering this one is half the miles and has PSE

Maybe the seller is on the vibe that Peridot commands a higher price, which it may in all fairness.

Hi All,
Had an R for 5 years, loved it and sold it about a year ago.

I’ve got a spare set of Oz Racing Ultraleggera HLT wheels which are going on the ‘bay shortly but I can’t find the offset and width markings on the wheels - they were a direct bolt on replacement for the Spyder wheels - I needed them as wanted to run Cup2 tyres which weren’t N rated at the time in the R sizes.

As a starter for me could someone pls confirm the diameter, pcd and offset for the Spyder alloys as fitted to the R?

Many thanks,
Kevin

That black one is the one from CC back in the summer that went up at high fifty something originally right?

Hi Kevin !
Not huge help, but I had exactly the same wheels on my Cayman (recently departed with all associated paperwork so can't check !). They were supplied for me by RPM Technik, so at a push they would be able to confirm the correct sizes......

so they will make about £5K on it. One wonders is it ever worth it? I seem to recall it had 7+ year old tyres so they have probably needed to invest in that.

They won’t make anything until they sell it…

I am pretty sure it was on for over £50k only a few days ago. And if they paid for it in August, that £45k will have cost them at least £1,200 in interest.

Indeed it was over £50K a few days ago. £52K I think it was.

Tyres still look like they are dated 0212 in the video on the ad.. so I suspect they've not done much

I am a lurker on this thread and am considering a Cayman R as my next car, saw this one at Bicester on Sunday and it was perfect to my eyes (Manual, buckets etc).

Anyone on here?

Hi there - Yep, that was me. Glad you liked it.

I was lucky enough to be get an option to buy it back in June 2021 from JZM, it was immaculate, low mileage, all the key options I wanted, and a credit to the previous long term owner I’ve since met and who sometimes still frequents on here. Not sure I’ve seen an equivalent Peridot manual car hit the market since (at least not publicly).

With all the other incredible cars there at the Bicester Scramble (old, new, exotic, iconic and just interesting) it was interesting to see that an R still gets plenty of interest as well. Loads of people came up to me to just chat about the car or wanted to ask questions as an R was on their wish list.

This forum is obviously biased, but they really are great cars - no regrets

Looks like you did indeed get a really nice one there Andy and really pleased you found the car that you wanted. We're moving further South in the next few weeks - would be good to see if you can park it next to its twin later in the year.

I'm also down south and have a Peridot R, as I'm sure do another few on here. Let us know if you plan to get together and we can try and get a good few. thumbup
