Mentions AC but doesn't look like it has? That'll be a deal breaker for many.

Got giddy for a second until I spotted pdk...

Pretty much decided an Evora is the car for me but a manual Peridot/Meteor/GT Silver CR at the right money could disrupt things..

Price seems ok considering it’s a high mileage car (relatively speaking), but no chrono, no A/C, no PSE, and a rear wiper. So I suspect that spec will no suit many of the people hunting an R.

But there are always folks out there seeking a bargain who aren’t as obsessive on the options and will just jump in and enjoy it.

My 993 doesn’t have AC and much like the 987 there’s a lot of glass for that small cabin.

It gets proper roasty hot in the summer - and I don’t have black seats either. It is a shame it hasn’t got AC. Seems an odd thing to leave out given everything else it’s got.

Can this thread be for an aspiring R owner, but without the funds and looking for the next best thing?

Is a 2012 987 Cayman likely to be a money pit? Like this example -

This ...
https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/14475319

....is likely closer to an R than the one you linked to, as it has been upgraded officially with a R suspension.

or this one

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204227829921

with factory R Aero kit and PSE.

With Cayman R inbound this week - recommendations for a good Porsche independent in the Leeds/York area, please?

There is a chequered history of Porsche indy's around here eek
RPM in Knaresbrough, and I have also found Strasse in Leeds to be very good ...

It's Trout/Rannoch from the old days. When I was chatting about the R, Gary Moulton and Steven Darley mentioned you. It was Steven that turned my car into the Banana.

They were deemed sexist, offensive, misogynistic and irresponsible by the Advertising Standards.

I know everybody involved and whilst the claim may be made by the wokerati, I have never seen or experienced any foundation to this.

They are a very strong family business ... welcoming and professional ... with a very good mix of customers.

Times may be changing, but aren't we in danger of draining the fun out of things ? The ads to me were just cheeky fun, remember that ?

This is a recent advertisement for a radio station at a public bus stop in Holland ....

Would substituting a male image make it any different other than the obvious pun ???

When a society can't even define gender in a PC correct way without getting it's knickers (underpants?) into a twist, we clearly need to have a re-think.

There'll be violent predatory men in women's prisons next ...

The fact it is on a bus stop in Holland does not make it any less misogynistic.
