Shame its PDK and not a fan of the clear real lenses but otherwise looks pretty cool to me I was sat waiting to jump onto the boat back home to the Isle of Man a few months back and there was a Peridot 997 Turbo S cab sat waiting in the queue. No pictures unfortunately but I had a quick chat with the chap sat in it. Turns out he has owned it from new, it was supplied by Jackson’s on Jersey. I think it had 7K miles up . It was done as a PTS car, it even had green contrast stitching on the black leather. The chap reckoned it is the only one Porsche ever did in that colour. Not to my taste but it was a fine looking thing. Apparently he has moved to the Isle of Man so I might get to see it again.

P.G without AC and PDK but with buckets. Assume the lack of AC is hurting resale?

I'm toying with the idea of a 987R (having owned two 987S cars 10 or so years ago), but curious what people think of the Ashgood car that's up for sale. I'd be tracking the car a bit so it has some appeal to me, but doesn't seem to be shifting?
I think, ultimately, I'm drawn more toward a 987 Spyder, but this R has caught my eye...though I have a V8V Cab to sell first.

I think that the temporary decals they added to the car may have potentially put people off. But looks like they have now added other pics showing the car without the decals as well. But if you want something for a decent price, and with some nice mods to make it ready for some track use, this could be a good buy.
I wonder what they have done with the carbon buckets that were in one of the shot - suspect they have been sold off, hence the recaro replacements.

Very likelyBefore I bought my R, I went to view a black one there, on a Friday afternoon
Rang Saturday morning to put a deposit on it, to be told that they'd sold the buckets out of it to an existing customer with a Spyder

Yeah, the stickers wouldn’t be for me but easy to remove. But if you want something for a decent price, and with some nice mods to make it ready for some track use, this could be a good buy.

And yes, the lack of buckets is an issue - I may keep my powder dry for that reason. I recall, years ago, RSJ, getting some stick for swapping wheels between cars to satisfy customers. Not such an issue on a boggo Cayman, but I’d want an R to be factory spec.

Yep I agree. Easy to find original spec and very disappointing if not the sameAnd yes, the lack of buckets is an issue - I may keep my powder dry for that reason. I really struggle to see the logic behind making a quick buck on things like Cayman R buckets.
It totally devalues the car you're trying to sell and makes it even less desirable. Unless theyre making serious cash on the seats, it just doesnt make sense to me of stripping an R of part of what makes up its ID.

Pretty sure there are a few seats that fit including a high back booster from Volvo.
I too will be on the hunt for one that fits both the R's carbon buckets and a Recaro Pole Position.
I've got some helpful info around a child car seat. We have a Britax Romer Kid II. After much research that seemed the best idea and I can say with absolute certainty that it fits the following seats:I too will be on the hunt for one that fits both the R's carbon buckets and a Recaro Pole Position.
Porsche Folding Buckets
Porsche Fixed Buckets
Recaro Pole Positions
Ferrari Carbon Buckets (360/430 Generation)
Aston Martin Lightweight Carbon Seats
McLaren Carbon Bucket Seats (Not Senna - not tried, but the touring ones)
I haven't tried it out on any others, but it definitely fits these. The beauty of it is that it has a narrow base and then gets wider as it goes up
