That R looks amazing and if I hadn’t just bought my white car I would be all over it even at that price. Half expecting a call from Tom at 911V to offer me a deal.....
How would I explain to my wife how the car in the garage that she rarely sees has changed colour...!!???
What a car: http://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/1214/Cayma...
Sell me yours then, job done! How would I explain to my wife how the car in the garage that she rarely sees has changed colour...!!???

Have a think and pm me if interested...
£55k is strong but I guess the prices will come to the buyer if he keeps the miles off.
You can buy cars in the same spec at £45k ish so £10k over to get that car means saying ***** it I want viper green at any cost, or never using it to keep the value. Great car I have tried to buy that twice and missed out. £55k is eye watering though imo, as was the £60K Spyder as is a £500k 911R, £80k GTS !!! and all the other cars, if there are buyers then it's all good for the sellers, long may the prices rise.

As you know i'm new to the Cayman R fold David but only once its qualities & abilities are appreciated do the increasing value & desirability make sense. You can buy cars in the same spec at £45k ish so £10k over to get that car means saying ***** it I want viper green at any cost, or never using it to keep the value. I would be very surprised if within 12 months any manual R in good condition, full history, sensible mileage and with the enthusiast driven 'essential spec' is below £50k. 911V have consistently proven the right cars sell at £40k, then £45k, then £47.5k and now (albeit on a unique Viper Green car) at £55k
Remember there are only 100 manual R's out there and the cars with the right spec approx. 25-30 so I don't see this trend changing anytime soon. Jim knows how few are for sale that tick the boxes - they can't be bought!
Anyway this is in danger of becoming a GT3 thread with all this value talk so i'm just glad I bought mine when I did and I love it!
If I was selling mine which iam not this year I would want as near as 50k as possible .
14,900 miles fsh new tyres Man Box Buckets Spyder black wheels Chrono PSE A/C plus few other less important bits .
Sounds a lot but obviously the market is on the up for both 987 Spyders and CRs good ones anyway.
Obviously they do sell to the right person and who knows how much next year.
Good news for us owners but maybe not so good for people that dithered buying .
In Porsche terms a Spyder or CR seems fair prices .
Just might be the first time I haven't actually lost thousands on a Porsche.
Never used in winter.

Mines just clocked 35k miles as i actually use it. (summer anyway)
Also manual, peridot, buckets and spyders. However its modified for track bias with upgraded brakes, exhaust, plenum, filter, mapping etc. etc
Not sure how that really affects its value, but i love it and have no plans to sell it anytime soon if i can help it.
