Nice advert, all looks up to date except for any mention of air filter change which is needed at 6 years (that's according to Porsche schedule but in my experience it should be changed more often as by then it's really dirty. You get a very noticeable change in throttle response when you change it).
Thanks boxsey, updated the advert as the air filter was changed same time as the belts.Cheers,
Dan

looks great, put climate control over electronic AC on the advert as every one will ask you that. (if it has climate ) AC is one option, climate is an extra option. very clean car that , good luck with the sale :-)Cheers,
Dan

I believe he has a brand new GT3 Touring as well but it’s never been seen.
Good taste in motors.
I have a few things, but not a T, :-) I leaked this shot the other day, you must have missed it.Good taste in motors.
Yes missed that, I can’t keep up with your ever turning fleet.
That looks v nice is that a long term keeper or passing through?
I don’t have a T either I swapped to GTS, v happy with it.
Cheers

I love it to bits, it's every thing I wanted the GT4 to be, so the 981 Spyder and R are going, keeping the 987.2 Spyder for a great pair.Yes missed that, I can’t keep up with your ever turning fleet.

Yep that has to be the perfect modern Porsche garage , love guards red on Gt3/4 but personally prefer lighter coloured wheels with GR.The CR up for sale mentioned above looks a great spec. don't think it will hang around long it's also got Xenons which for me is a must but very hard to come by on a 987.2

Pricey for a private sale with that mileage and owners...
I don't think so Jim - simple supply & demand and there simply isn't a choice out there. We've seen the values shift over the last 12 months by £5k + and I don't see this changing anytime soon.
When I bought mine I had a frank conversation with Tom at 911V and its my personal belief that a manual Cayman R with the choice options will be a £60k + car within 2 years. Look at the values of any manual gearbox Porsche cars made in limited numbers with any hint of weight saving and offering the desired analogue driving experience and tell me i'm wrong. Watch this space.....
Having said that if i'm wrong and mine is worth £££ less when I come to sell it in the future I won't lose any sleep over it!

Jim,
What do you feel you are not getting over a trade sale? It’s an OEM warrantied car and not some crap 3rd party warranty but real OPC warranty.
Thanks,
Dan

Jim you've been looking for a manual R for quite some time and don't have one yet.
I decided I fancied one on Saturday afternoon and owned one by Tuesday.
They won't be going down in price anytime soon so your better off getting one sooner than later.
I paid over the odds for mine due to the colour and ultra low miles, however that Peridot car would be 50k plus at a dealer now, and the OPC warranty is better than any Indy dealer will offer you.
Get it bought.

Dan's car is lovely, but not ultra low miles. At an OPC? Maybe. An indy? I doubt that looking at others on the market.
Xenons are a plus, but not essential. If it had ceramics, I'd pay asking...
David, define better spec?

Whereas ceramics would put off a number of people due to the ongoing costs. I suppose everyone has a slightly different preferred spec once you get beyond the must haves. At an OPC? Maybe. An indy? I doubt that looking at others on the market.

Dan's car has got all the right main spec bits and in launch colour.
You see lots of white and black ones for sale with wrong seats or wrong wheels, no air con etc, low miles launch colour with all the spec, 50k at a dealer all day long.
Nothing wrong with either colour but Peridot as launch colour is the best R colour.
Well second best, but you know what I'm on about.

I am loving my GTS and also keeping my 987.2 Spyder.
Similar thoughts on what the ideal pairing is.

Fully understand holding out for the right car, as it a big decision and a lot of money for most of us. But surely you reach a point whereby a car ticks 95% of your boxes and we make the best compromise we can.
Holding out for “the moon on a stick” may be a long wait where you could be out already enjoying one of the most enjoyable drivers cars Porsche ever made.
That Peridot car is an absolute peach

Perfectly put. It is what is when it comes to current pricing of CRs and GT4s. They are an absolute bargain compared to the asking prices for the latest GT3s. Waiting and hoping and dithering about buying a CR now (or GT4) will only lead to the disappointment of having missed out.Jim you've been looking for a manual R for quite some time and don't have one yet.

that R is lovely. has it been lowered or is that stock?
i've never really given 987s much of a chance but they're really starting to grow on me.
Sorry Jason, missed your question , the car is totally standard so no it's not been lowered. The Cayman R is lower than a standard Cayman S though which might explain it looking low.i've never really given 987s much of a chance but they're really starting to grow on me.

As others have said Jim, you've been looking/prevaricating for some time now. The Summer solstice is but days away, then the nights will once again start to draw in, and before you know it, it'll be the late Summer bank holiday and Autumn will be knocking on the door...
You're a long time dead ....
