Got brand new red Schroths in may garage that were for the Impreza. My only issue is cutting trim to fit a harness bar. If there was a way to install harnesses without cutting any trim id be up for it.
The Porsche Schroth Harnesses have a shaped bracket on the lap strap anchors to fit the contour of he seat and std seat belt mounting. You will also need to buy GT2/3 Sub bars to mount under the seat. I fitted Schroth to mine and a Heigo half cage with harness bar. The only trim needing cutting to shape were the rear turrets so I bought a 2nd hand pair and cut them so the originals can be re-fitted if necessary. All can be made OEM again with no troble.

Your car spec sounds like where I would like to get my 'S' to eventually, are you Essex based ?

You retired yours from a trackhack :-)

Nothing wrong with tracked car as long as people realise 100 track miles is like 3000 road miles :-) track driving is very tough on road cars.

Beautiful day for it.

100% up for an Essex meet if everyone else is. Perhaps I’ll try and get a pub setup for a beer one evening.

I'm only over the water in Kent and would be up for an Essex R meet up.

Now that you've had your R a while... how do you find it vs the 981 GTS?

Okay so if a few guys are up for a Cayman R gathering in Essex ill propose the following:

Sunday 29th July - 9:00am

The Hare,
Bishops Stortford Rd,
Roxwell,
Chelmsford
CM1 4LU

http://www.pieandpintinns.co.uk/thehare/contact.ph...

Meet up for a natter and a bit of breaky. Pub offers nice carpark and decent breaky. If this is successful and folks want to do another perhaps we can look into a few more meets and maybe mix it up a bit for locations.

Thoughts?

I'll happily suggest these events for possible meet up in Essex as they close to me wink

https://www.porscheclubgb.com/regions-registers/re...

I will go to The Hare regardless but can get busy and parking quite limited but up for some of the others too?

I think the next 'Hare' meet is on Sat 7th July, they always used to be 1st Saturday in every month

Unless you are proposing solely a Cayman R meet in which case I'm in as an 'S' interloper if allowed hehe ?

That’s what I was proposing so unless we get every R in the country, parking wasn’t going to be an issue. biggrin

Yep ok good thinking thumbup though I would double check they are really open 9am on a Sunday as I have my doubts, still it wouldn't stop us using their car park though.
