So either today's price is a mistake or yesterdays' was.... Odd! Mytyres are showing £313 but not avialable. Plenty other places over £300....

£158 for fronts, again with over 12 in stock.

£782 quid delivered for 4 brand new Pilot Sport 4s from a reputable dealer smile

Cheers, that's £82 more than I paid when I ordered the set Michelin haven't delivered but not a bad price if they have them in stock. So my question now is if I get them or the Super Sports. I only need to order rears if I go 4S as the place I put in the original order with has the fronts and has done for ages. Decisions!

Without wishing to sound like an ass, £82 for tyres that don’t appear to exist is basically irrelevant.
£82 quid and you’ll have the tyres you wanted in the first place.
Whatever you decide, I’d be quick about it.

My point was just that it was irritating. As the whole saga has been. If they are the best tyres they are what I'll get.

I was told yesterday my 2010 Spyder with 14k miles on it was high miles !!!

And my 3 year old 981 Spyder with 9k was high miles !

these cars are becoming a joke when people say these daft things to you on cars 8 and 3 years old !!!

In the past 8k PA was the Porsche figure which was far lower than the 12k PA average, but today people want del miles cars !

Ferrari is about 3k PA other wise that's high.

14 k ain't high mileage on your Spyder My Cayman R has 15k for a 2011
I think it's pretty lowish at least it's had light usage better than one with hardly any mileage where any problems have yet to appear.
Mine ain't had any problems I might add in that 15k but one never knows.

Just picked up my Cayman R from Valet Magic and it's now looking better than the day I picked it up from OPC Reading in 2011. It's just had the front bumper and bonnet sprayed, full front end Xpel PPF - bumper, bonnet, wings, lights, mirrors - wheels refurbed in gunmetal, and a new centre stripe. I'm sure the stripe will split opinion, but I think it looks great.

So, Cayman R, one owner from new, manual, buckets, spyders, 10k miles, new discs and Pagid RS29 pads, full service history, fastidiously maintained, body and paintwork better than new, got to be one of the best examples in the UK. Oh, hang on, it hasn't got air conditioning, so it must be worthless laugh

Good thing I'm not selling...

Just out of interest why did the discs need changing at 10k miles?

I wanted to bed the Pagid RS29 pads in on new discs to avoid any pad compound contamination.

Allegedly the Porsche and Pagid compounds play nicely together, but I didn't want to take any chances.

I just couldn't live with the countless stone chips on the bonnet and bumper - probably should have done the PPF when it was new, of course :-)

Looks great, but 10k in 7 years! You need to get out and earn some more stone chips.

Trust me, it had a lot of stone chips - it only ever comes out of the garage to be driven, either to the track or on a drive out. It's not a daily so doesn't rack up miles commuting, shopping, visiting, etc.

Problem is my daily drivers are always fun, so I probably don't get it out as often as I would if I hated my daily. When I sold my Mk2 Focus RS and was waiting for my Mk3 to arrive, I picked up a very cheap, old Ka to get me to the station and take the kids to school - I don't think I ever used the Cayman R so much as then; it was literally any excuse to get it out of the garage smile

I'm not entirely sold on the new stripe yet. But the rest of the car looks great. I especially like the wheels I think they are a huge improvement over the black before. Being able to clearly see the contrast between wheel and tyre is a big thing for me. I've never been keen on wheels which are darker than the tyres. Good work chap. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh!

Correct OCD level there too with the Porsche crest and tyre valve :-)

Bet that all cost a pretty penny!! :P
