Good to know. I'm tempted to do the same. Do you do the same for the rear plate or leave that alone? (if a sticky show us some pics)
No mate, rear plate is a standard item from RPM Technik with all legit postcodes. It did come with a hideous black plinth on the rear but that got junked for just a standard plate.

The other green one in Aberdeen may be Dan's, it's for sale on AutoTrader, but no longer on PH - possibly sold. Lovely spec too...
the 911V car I think, now showing as sold.
No, Dan's is manual, 26k miles and no ceramics...

Just looked up AutoTrader. I think that's the chap who contacted me who was in Aberdeen. One of the pics has his name in it. Wonder if it has sold...

Actually I just checked properly and no that isn't the guy who messaged me. So that must be 4 peridot cars around Aberdeen!!!

I've never ever seen another green R on the road... untill Sunday morning.

We were on the way to Goodwood when i met one head on in the villages leading there.
I did give the fella a wave, shout if it was you biggrin
Hi Frayz
Think that might have been me.
We passed a Peridot , we did wave back.
I think you passed us again after we’d just turned into the Greyhound pub in Midhurst ( pre Goodwood Breakfast ) , about 0745.
Looked out for your car in the car parks , but didn’t see any other R’s , saw 4 lizard green GT3’s though ( common or what????????)
Hope you had a good day.Nicest car I saw all day was the Singer on the raised plinth to the side of the “style et Luxe” display. Stunning!,

Hmm Maybe, but we would have been there about 6:45 as i was in the Goodwood carpark behind Goodwood House at about 6:55am. I only rememeber the time as ive never had to queue for the gates to open before lol.
991 GT3s, GT3RSs and GT4s were littered everywhere. Its amazing for a car so difficult to source, theyre amazingly commonplace at a car event.

I saw one other Cayman R and that was possibly yours on the way haha

Hi Frayz
Yeh that’s about right.
It was 0645 not 0745 ( pub didn’t open until 0700 ).
We parked in the PCGB parking behind Molecombe ( car park M ) , perfect for us as we normally leave straight after the shootout which we always watch at Molecombe .
Long day , left home at 0430 ( Coventry )and got back at 2100!!
Did you travel far?

Are these a Porsche item? Mind me asking the cost? My bolts are starting to rust (again) and I would like to replace them at some point.
havent been here for a while !

my bolts were a state so I took them off removed collar, shotblasted them and then had them black cad plated

there perfect now, probably a lot cheaper then new OE ones (as was my aforementioned Fabspeed tips even inclusive of tax and shipping !)

Almost the same as me mate.
Travelled down from Maldon in Essex. Left home at 4am to collect a friend/tickets on route, parked behind Goodwood House and left after the shootout which we also watched from Molecombe haha.
Fell through the door about 8:30, necked about 2 pints of squash and got straight in a cold shower.biggrin

Superb day but b@stard hot and knackering to be in the sunshine that long. My R is still filthy and needs a clean too smile

The state of the crests on my centre caps was, quite honestly, embarrassing, especially after having the wheels refurbed - really should have checked the state of the crests before getting them sprayed to match the new wheel colour!

So I went on the search for some new ones, and luckily found that Porsche now does gunmetal centre caps, with some of the newer wheels having gunmetal spokes and centres. Managed to grab a set on eBay for under £30, and fitted them today - looking much better now smile

Been lurking on this group reading loads- loved it! I’m now finally in a position to buy so if anyone is thinking of selling this summer a white manual with buckets and pse please message me.

And thanks again for all this great info on this group. Very informative and look forward to contributing when it’s my time.

All the best,
G.

if Jims not bought it then yep :-)

I think missing AC in a modern coupe really does restrict sales.

As I've said previously, I'm after a sub 30k car. And, given the recent long spell of hot weather, how anyone can buy a modern sports car without aircon is beyond me. It's unpleasant, uncomfortable.

Also of note, with the exception of 911Virgin cars (2 rare spec cars), CRs seem to be sticking for ages, so either the market agrees with me, or no one is spending £50k while the financial uncertainty continues...

buyers are very fussy on spec on these of course and yes the markets also slow, and now every ones on Holiday for 2 weeks.

non AC cars have always stuck, I remember one selling for low £30's back a while a go, same with higher miles cars, they are too expensive at current prices with 50k miles, also black cars don't sell either for some reason.

the nice spec cars are at £50k, imo people also see that as over priced, so to sell it has to be sub 30k miles "drivers spec" and more like £45k not £50k then they seem to sell. if it's out that remit prices need to reflect that which is not happening to a great enough extent.

I do agree with Jim on the AC and I would only buy a car with AC but accept that's personal choice. Don't agree that CR's are sticking - all of the right cars (desirable colour, spec & mileage) are still selling and selling fast.

Since I've had mine (Feb 2018) I have had 3 offers of £50k (all serious buyers) for it and declined all of them. Each of the 3 people have been chasing not only the spec (we all know the critical things people want on an R) but also colour (in my case white), low owners and sub 30k miles. So £50k obviously isn't overpriced if the car meets the buyers expectations and we have seem a few sell recently for £50k plus. My car isn't for sale but there is a price point where everything is but in my opinion £50k is not enough to tempt me. Besides - what the hell do you replace it with that will offer anywhere near the same for the same £££???
