PDK I know but another tip I can give you away from the pied piper forum work people really do want PDK. I suspect this one might be haggleable to acceptability for a private buyer. Shame it's not white!
Spoke to the chap with the 30k one he's been inundated by trade and private buyers on that one. It will be sold today. Offers in. Couldn't resist.

Indeed there are many that want theirs with PDK. Me being one! That one is much too high for a private sale IMO...mine cost £6K less just over a week ago, is a very similar spec (no chrono on mine)has a few more miles and most importantly is white! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Brother-in-law is looking to buy a weekend toy to replace his C63 which rarely get used and eats back tyres. He's avoided kids and my sister has a penchant for sports cars after dad crammed us in the back of his '82 911SC in our teens. Budget is £40-50k so bang on R money and manual box is a must. I know what I'd have but I'm trying to stay neutral for what is the right spec'. He's keen on a good warranty and a non-modified, non-tracked example but is that feasible?

Easily feasible.Just need to be ready to pounce when one pops up which ticks all the boxes. They won't hang around long with the right spec in my opinion.

Looks lovely Steve! Sounds like you are enjoying it, quite a change from the 964 I guess? Had it on track yet?
Cheers

Not yet mate but have booked the annual PCGB day at Anglesey for its first outing. Need to get another set of wheels for track and do the discs and pads before I take it there.Cheers

Drat! Another pesky Cayman R on track... Congratulations, if I could get in/out of one, I would have one as soon as I could. Had a very long look around after Anglesey last year, as ChrisW's car made such an impression on me. Beautifully balanced on track and go like stink! I'm very jealous boxsey!boxsey said:

I run a set of 18 inch Carrera wheels with Kumho Ecsta V70's for track work. Keep the 19's for best!mikep240 said:

It's those pesky GT4s that you'll have to look out for this year Mike! See you there. London GT3 said:

Yes, I've been looking into getting a set of 18s but want to try michelin super sports. However, they don't come in the recommended front size (235/40/18). I could get the super sport as a 225/40/18 but am not sure it would be advisable to run a narrower tyre? I know the super sport won't have the grip of the V70 in the dry but would prefer the super sport for wet track days. I've used the Toyo R888 for many years and got fed up sitting out a lot of the day when it was wet. Hence why I'd like to move away from a full R compound tyre. So at the moment I'm leaning towards getting a second set of 19s to take the correct size super sports (235/35/19 and 265/35/19).Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
