I have new in box's a big disk kit and pads and GT3 air scoops, but I sold my R before fitting them.
best value mod imo unless you go the Richard Tipper route and spend £10k on a race set up !
or the next level up from disks only would be 996.2 GT3 calipers and 350mm disks again pricy over just a disk set up.
there are no short cuts, heat is the issue and the only way to remove heat is have better bigger disks.
this is a tried and tested route in the track hungry USA for 987.2 cars.
any way I have front disks and a full set of pads and scoops for sale at a BIG discount :-)
They look amazing. PM details and price please. Kev best value mod imo unless you go the Richard Tipper route and spend £10k on a race set up !

When the warranty on my car is up next November I suspect I won't renew it. Too many little mods I'd like to do to the car, brakes being potentially one of them. Although the list of things I want to do to that car vs the list I can afford to do to it may cause an issue.
I assume even modifying brakes invalidates warranty? K400RDY said:

Everything does. Changing to non N rated tyres, fitting a Bosch batter, fitting 3rd party wiper blades. Any non OEM part can invalidate. Whether some would ever be noticed is another question, but, they will technically invalidate. Porsche911R said:

How do the Giro discs compare to the PFC ones? I'll be upgrading discs once the cars comes out of hibernation. best value mod imo unless you go the Richard Tipper route and spend £10k on a race set up !

PFC are oem size so no better, money down the pan imo. Richard tipper tried those, he soon changed them to a proper setup.
Gyro are the only over sized disks for the 987.2 car, above that you need to fit 996.2 GT3 calipers and 350mm disks.

I have a few Pm about the disks, just need to go though who I said had 1st dibs last time I posted about them.
I guess cost is an issue as although I will do a crazy saving over RRP, they are expensive units which put people off.
I will reply to every one, I just need to check my history and emails
cheers all.

Can't see a car, only the menu, but if it's the Perth one http://locator.porsche.com/ipl-customer/ipl/details/details.ipl?md5=5dadaf557844fcd86b6551bb6a7c90e1&url=uk, yes nice spec bar Sport Chrono & Short Shift, but both can be retrofitted.Black on black though which is a hard sell for most and missing the front bumper decals - new bumper?)
This car was previously at Wilmslow for the same price who then dropped it to £47.5k ish - no takers, move group, put price up??? There are some optimistic people in the industry...
£51k 6 months ago, maybe. Not now. I'd offer them £45k if I wasn't on hold due to work contracts, but would definately query the front bumper. :scratchin:

It was the Perth one, yes. Hadn't noticed the missing decals - probably had a bumper re-spray. Colour wouldn't be my choice either to be honest. It is rather toppy considering no Sport Chrono.Black on black though which is a hard sell for most and missing the front bumper decals - new bumper?)

Looking at getting an exterior cover for my R guys and as a PCGB member I can get discount from Classic Additions.
They’re quoting £170 for what they call a semi fitted universal type cover.
Or £420 for a fully tailored item that cloaks the mirrors, wing etc.
Anyone have any experience with these at all as I’m thinking of treating the car to one for Xmas.

I've got their 'Ultimate Outdoor' cover, the standard size S, on my Cayman R and am really happy with it. It fits snugly, even with the wing and pretty durable. It's the second cover I've got from them, had one on an old MGB as well. They’re quoting £170 for what they call a semi fitted universal type cover.

I’ve got a specialised outdoor cover for the cayman r which is fully fitted over mirrors/spoiler, it’s a great cover. The r made way for a gt4 so if you’re interested in the cover let me know. They’re quoting £170 for what they call a semi fitted universal type cover.
