Sad to say that mine drove away today - will be for sale at DT Performance Cars shortly I would imagine.

A lovely car, I had a brilliant time in my 2.5 years of ownership and will definitely consider another in the future!
If you're not shy, would you mind letting me know what you sold it to a dealer for? See it's up for £42,950 & I'm considering the sale of my own at the moment - the one offer I got from a renowned dealer was nearly £10k less than I'd expect it to actually sell for.

If you don't want to state, happy to email: Dissolved365@Gmail.com

This week I've had builders in doing work on my garage so I've used the R daily. What a lovely machine even on the daily commute however the more miles I do the more I think a brake upgrade is needed.....

Roll on summer and the trackday season biggrin

Deposit taken - that went quickly. Anyone on here? What was the full spec?

That's a bit punchy. Noted it was at an OPC and went to look to see if it was on the Porsche approved site. When did they update the used car locator? The old one was so much easier to find stuff one!

Had the master cylinder changed, pedal feels so much better.... joy short lived just outside Blenheim palace the shifter went limp, and looks like a snapped cable.

Shipped off to hopefully be fixed before Brands on Wednesday.

Had the same and wasn't able to bring to GW, does seem very common!

The suspense is killing me waiting for the photos and detailed spec. Is no one on duty at OPC Wolverhampton this week? Easter holidays? Still not back from Wembley?

Has anyone on here ditched the front number plate plinth and fitted an adhesive front plate instead? If so, have you any pics?
Yes, firstly on my old Cayman S:

Then on my latest Cayman S (with R aero kit):

Looks much sleeker IMO, and there’s the obvious aerodynamic benefit laugh

That's my old car. I bought it last November from Porsche Perth and it is absolutely bob on. I know Mr D gets some flak on here, but about the CR he is absolutely right - it is one of the best handling road cars out there. Period. So why move it on so soon? Well...

I had a Peridot CR back in 2011, my first Porsche and I loved it. After a year I swapped it in for the first of two 997GTSs (in fact Mr D bought it from the OPC I traded it in at) and got thoroughly stuck into 911s. Recently I had been planning to make my 964 go faster. I had done the suspension but the old girl still felt a bit ponderous. It needed to go north of 300bhp and have some weight taken out; removing rear seats, adding bucket seats, removing side impact bars from the doors etc etc. Then I remembered that the CR did all this out of the box. Plus I had been looking at an Alpine A110 but couldn't get over the four pot engine and flappy paddles. So I started looking for another R and found this very nice silver one. Having a second one showed me something that I always knew but hadn't wanted to admit to myself - the CR is a better drive than a 997 GTS.

And if all I wanted was a weekend hooning car I would have kept it, but I realised that I needed something more than that. I needed something that could do a continental blast with ease and I could get my new granddaughter in the back of. Also if I'm honest I have a bit of a pash for 911s so I traded it at OPC Wolverhampton for an 1800 mile 911 Carrera T (which has surprised me with the depth of its qualities).

So anyone interested in the CR will find an immaculate example in what I think was a very good spec. I will say it doesn't have a/c, but that didn't bother me as it saves quite a few kg and for short blasts in the UK weather, always with the windows down the better to hear the NA flat six, it was rendered it a bit pointless anyway (I usually switch it off in most of the Porsches I've owned and there's no aircon in a £750k McLaren Senna!). Oh - it has a rear wiper too. Gawd knows why but I was planning to have it removed.

Teah that should be fine. Mine is literally the thickness of the reflective vinyl. One other note, (although with a thicker plate you may not have this issue), when i first fitted the plate i found that a straight plate would slightly bow up at the ends due to the extreme curvature of the bumper. Thus giving a smiley face type effect. It was only very slight but i could see it if i was looking for it.
My plate has actually been made with 2.5mm runout on its length so that when fitted it appears straight to the eye.
Who did you number plate, I'd like to get the same done with the runout.

Thanks

I’d like to know too, you can’t really see it in the pics above but my front plate is a bit smiley.

Still, not bad for £5 off eBay smile

Thanks in advance.
