Hello, long-time lurker on here. Currently, I have a 997.1 c2s, previously had a Cayman S which I absolutely loved.
Have the itch to get a Cayman R and there's an R at 911 virgin in red. The spec looks good to me although it doesn't have a full Porsche main dealer history or PSE. Do they have the PASM? WIll be mostly a weekend car.
Any advice on what to look for would be much appreciated...
Thanks, Monte.

That 911Virgin car looks to be priced well given the miles and the spec, but I'd be checking out the specialists that are listed in the service history to ensure that they are truly reputable. I think its only missing the PSE, but it does have xenons (which many like), and full leather seats. Advert states it has the Alcantara interior package but I'd query that - it all looks leather to me other than the steering wheel. Not sure about all the red painted trim in the rear either; is it factory ? If not, it'd put me off a bit, but I like OEM on these cars where others aren't so worried.

The R comes with specific passive dampers. No PASM. Have the itch to get a Cayman R and there's an R at 911 virgin in red. The spec looks good to me although it doesn't have a full Porsche main dealer history or PSE. Do they have the PASM? WIll be mostly a weekend car.

My old car, it’s a peach. All totally factory except the drivers seat mounts which are lowered items from the US, and a 997 GT3 master cylinder.Steering wheel re-covered in Alcantara by Bentley’s head trimmer (‘cos the original Alcantara was rank)
Services all carried out by known/recognised, well regarded Indy’s.
Interior paintwork all factory.
A lovely straight, tidy, run in, properly used example with decent headlamps...

it was a factory option to have the rear all painted in body colour. my cars got it (Carrera white) doesn't seem to be a common option, even rarer was the option to have the carbon seat harness trims colour coded only seen that one a few times Slippydiff said:

I think that the answers are in, and this car is one to seriously consider !! It has history on here and has genuinely been "enthusiast owned and maintained". Apologies if my lack of knowledge added any doubts regarding the painted rear - life is an ongoing education - but surely this car has got to be worth a serious look.Mogsmex said:

Sorry Monte (599Fezza) I've just put a deposit on Slippydiff 's old car at 911V. Tom said there was someone else interested and mentioned a 997C2S. Glad the consensus is that it is a good'un.
Cheers,
Richard.
Congratulations - it looks a great example and the R looks fantastic in red. Cheers,
Richard.
Agree it’s a far better implement than the 997.2 and mine was a 997.2 GTS
