Registration = RV11 WOB
Anyone on here own this car now ?
Or still a Porsche UK press car ?
No radio / nav unit
No ac etc
Pse and buckets

Ultimate lightweight spec ????....
This is the exact spec I wanted to buy! Alas not many people were brave enough to go truly lightweight spec upon original order!

I am pretty shocked at the higher prices on these.

thought the best ones would be £65k by now.

I disagree.

How much is a new nicely spec'd GT4....? £85k, £90k? Then factor in that most enthusiasts still can't buy a new one from OPC so to buy a new 718 GT4 is out of reach (unless you pay £xxx overs for a slightly used one which will inevitably happen in a few months) so what other Porsche are you buying for £75k that offers the same as the 981 GT4??? Can't see any decent spec GT4 being £60k anytime soon. Maybe a comfort seated, leggy mileage, low spec, strut tower repaired car but nothing decent.

My GT4 was £74k, it had a big spec, the cars was only £64K retail remember.

981 Spyders are down at £62k now, the GT4 is not that special, it was a good car list price, 4 years on it feels a bit outdated and not as good as people say imo. Its eye opening going from my GT4 to my GT3 how much better the GT3 is and worth the upgrade.

price to me look way to high, they will drop when we get 500 718 GT4 in, it's just no new cars have arrived yet and in the main it's the part ex boys with cars who get them.

with prices as they are they are more overs than GT3's atm and that's daft for a car with 4 or 5 flaws.

I hate talking about values... but I think the current values for these cars aren't going to change much for at least the next year.
718 GT4/Spyder are much more expensive to get into and in the particular case of the GT4 - there isn't that much of a jump.
There is more availability of these cars, but at the inflated price that many won't want to pay if silly overs is finished, and we are back to regular car economics..ie.. depreciating... I know someone that got offered and took delivery a dealer stock 718 Spyder just last week... they took it on a promise of trading back in for a 718 GT4 in 6months.

This means the 981 has price range below 718 GT4/Spyder base (75k) all to itself for the time being - until we see all a decent number of the new cars on the street or more acutely in the classifieds as people try to bail out.

I've enquired at couple of OPC's about a 718 Spyder, albeit for a PDK version if it does indeed come out next year, and was politely told that I simply wasn't a good enough customer by one and completely ignored by the other. I'm genuinely surprised that there is any dealer stock 718 Spyders especially this year when availability seems to be as bad as usual.

It became 'dealer stock' either through a cancelled order or failed finance, but had to be registered. The buyer was only interested in a GT4 but a deal was stuck to get the car off the books - drive for 6months and then swap for a GT4....probably a case of right place, right time.
