I take it they're these 304 Stainless Steel ones?

What's the mechanism causing that rust. The flanges are in contact with Titanium and/or the gasket material but it's all bridged with the bolts anyway.
Not sure. Titanium doesn’t react with anything usually so not 100% sure. Yeah they’re 304 which isn’t the greatest material anyway. https://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-987-boxster-cayma...

They were done at Lepsons via Chris @ Exel Wheels.
Basically Chris is a middle man who collects your wheels, takes to Lepsons and returns them for you. For the cost of the fuel and messing about for me to take them to Lepsons myself, it made no difference financially and as it happens actually worked out cheaper this way, as I’ll explain.
I’ll be honest and say they were not up to my standard the first time they were delivered back to me. Chris agreed, re collected them and all wheels we’re re done until they were acceptable to me. Chris was understanding and very helpful throughout. For this reason alone I can highly recommend him and his service as it takes a lot of the ball ache out. I can still find the odd imperfection but I’m exceptionally fussy and I’d say they’re 99% flawless.
I used to use Pristine Wheels who were excellent and I have to say now these are back I’m very pleased with them. They’re done in the OEM finish so the backs and barrels are a gloss primer/grey, the hubs and centre cap recess is bare as per OEM too.
From what I’ve seen they’re as close to an OEM brand new finish as I have ever seen.

I’ve also used Pristine many times in the past and always been mega impressed with their ability to turn any wheel into better than new! Sadly Pristine ceased trading without notice late last year (anyone know why??) so next wheels I need doing I’ll be using Lepsoms. If you don’t mind us asking what was the issue with the 1st attempt??
Here’s some pics of a set of GT3 / RS wheels Pristine did for me on my 997 GTS

Hi Chris.
Pristine did my Mini GP1 wheels which are a satin black (teflon frying pan kind of finish) and diamond cut. They were superb, but Being honest, I could also find the odd imperfection in those too. Like I say, I’m sure like we all are, I’m exceptionally fussy with this stuff.
My issues with the first attempt from Lepsons was one of the wheels had some small blast media stuck on the black of the hub which had been then coated over. As the Spyder alloy hubs and spokes are quite visable from side on, I wanted the backs of the spokes and hubs flawless too. Also as I run Cup 2 tyres, these do not protrude the rear of the rim so leave the rim exposed. This exposed rear rim had some small transportation marks on. Like I say, it’s on the rear and never ever to be seen, but I want these things as close to perfect as possible.
As the finish on these is primer rear and colour faded in from the front, all wheels have to be done at the same time in order for them to match perfectly.
So all 4 wheels were redone to ensure they were perfect.
Chris was superb thoughout and agreed to fix anything I wasn’t happy with without question. Some may argue that they should have been perfect first time around, but we all know these things sometimes happen, but people rarely admit to it.
For his no quibble attitude alone,I’d say his service was invaluable.
