From Blairgowrie to Crathie on the A93, then north towards and over the Lecht to Tomintoul is the best drive in the UK. And one of the reasons is that everyone goes to do the NC500. So please don't tell people about these roads as they are busy enough already - as you probably noticed, there is quite a section where you can't overtake easily on the south side of Glenshee.And the R is magic on these roads. Not too firm or soft. Although there are a few crests where you have to watch as they can become a bit plane like in a not very fun way.... I'm told.
If you're ever up this way again, feel free to fire a message and if I'm about I'd come and say hi/have a run.

Brilliant description of A93, yes real rollercoaster of a road with a few airborne moments that car took amazingly smoothly thankfully and some palm wetting fast sections on north descent from Ski Station. I went all the way to Nairn on towards towards Inverness, then to Moniack Castle near Beauly where we were staying for a few days, venturing up some of NC500 route before returning down A93 which was just as amazing in other direction.....sorry but can’t keep secrets..... lol, and yes CR was outstanding to drive on these roads.And the R is magic on these roads. I've done it in both directions; first time heading South being driven at inappropriate speeds in a Seat Alhambra MPV, following 457 miles in a day around the NC500 in Caterhams (from Highland Caterham Hire in Elgin). The second time in a hot-hatch group heading from Edinburgh to Scone for our first stop on an anti-clockwise route around the 500, including Skye and Raasay. I can't wait to do it again in the R!
What a road the A93 up to Glenshee is. Never been past the ski resort but would love to take the R up there…I would be interested to hear if anyone on the chat has been up there on an organised tour and would recommend?
Last time I was there had the pleasure of driving these two, sadly not the R though as that would be much better (and sorry the pics are not R related)…

That P1 - what a thing! 
The Senna I respect, but the P1 is the one for me...or would be if a Cayman R wasn't about the top of my budget for a toy car . I'd be interested what the drive was like up the A93 in those. From around Bridge of Cally north to a few miles south of Glenshee gets very undulating and twisty and I've often wondered how a large supercar would be on it. The section from Glenshee to Braemar would be epic in them, you'd just need to be alert for the police force. I know this all too well! 
If you ever want route recommendations in the area then I'm happy to make suggestions. And I'd happily come and meet any of the R owners if they are ever in this part of the world. I've never been part of any organised tour as I prefer to drive myself or with just a couple of mates whose driving I trust - I always worry some of the bigger groups just draw attention a bit too much.
This was Glenshee on a particularly epic drive with a mate. The F-Type was very twitchy that day!

What an incredible car; so much fun on track; lively, nimble and just awesome.
Some great cars & only a handful on track at any one time; a well organised good day at a great circuit. So lucky to be able to drive our cars at these hallowed locations.

I must admit when Mogsmex told me he had ordered the carbon ones I had my reservations if it was going to look a bit Halfords and cheap. As it happens they very high quality and really do look good on the car. If you like the carbon, that would be my choice now having seen them.
