Seems a nice example, thoughts?
Retrofit Sports Chrono and pretty much bang on I’d say.

I imagine the thought of your pride and joy looking this would give you sleepless nights or nightmares !! ??

That looks perfect to me! I like to see cars being used and enjoyed and if that means a few stone chips or some marred paint, so be it. My current hero is the guy near me who is using his 2.7 RS (I assume it's a hot rod rather than an original but nonetheless...) for dump runs and trips to the garden centre. I saw him last week with the entire rear filled with plants and bags of soil.

I'd much rather see a well used and loved car than something clinically clean, devoid of any soul and destined for a dehumidified garage. Give me an old racing car with a gaffa tape seat over a Mclaren Elva any day of the week

I agree, i love my car nice and clean but equally love it caked in flies, tyre and road grime from a bloody good road trip.

Yeah its got a few stone chips and its far from concourse but shines up well. I like the fact its lived a life of enjoyment, the chips are battle stripes that have been earned. smile

There is something better about seeing a GT model caked in crap though.
Doesn't have the same cool factor on a base spec 911 or a Cayman does it, lol.

My Peridot R has a roll cage. It's going up for sale in the next few days owing to incoming GT4. I'll post details on here before broader advertising.

In the background of that shot tonight is the Mourne Mountains.

That's where they filmed the Porsche 928 episode of The Car Years.

We drove through the Mournes tonight - here's us in the car park where the static 928 shots were filmed. Those roads are my playground smile

It certainly was :

Out in the wilds of Wales earlier that day :

A fine machine, PCCB's, CGT seats (they looked awesome, but in reality they were THE most uncomfortable seats I've ever had the misfortune to sit in)

Interesting comment about the CGT seats - are they the stock ones in the 9971. GT3?

I think the CGT seats were an option if you didn't want the armchairs on a non-Clubsport car, they were trimmed in faux leather and Alcantara. If however you specced a Clubsport, you got the CGT seats trimmed in Perlon.

I took the CGT seats out and fitted a pair of carbon folding buckets from a 997 GT2 (the same as the R seats) they were slightly more comfortable than the CGT seats, but not a lot ...

Interesting, have to say they don't look a patch on 997 GT2 seats.

Apologies in advance as I know this has been done over and over (but no search function on thread)

I am looking to replace my pads (getting low) & Fluid (due a change) I have a couple track days booked up, Bedford & Anglesey. From those with experience what do people recommend & where to purchase from ?

I am not against switching pads back to OEM for the road miles in between track days unless someone has a better suggestion / something suitable for both ?

TIA

Mintex M1166 are a good all rounder. Great on track days and perfectly usable on the road.
