Are there any high mileage R owners on here?
6 cars on Autotrader at the moment and it’s 5k to 40k
Most are about 10-11 years now, any on “old” money average mileage say 100k+ ? How have they faired and worn?
Would love a white, manual, bucket, black alloys, air con model in the future and one which has been enjoyed and looked after by enthusiast with higher mileage doesn’t put me off.
What are the other options people love, xenons, PSE?

Always controversial because people have different views but what you listed plus PSE and sports chrono is often seen as the most desirable spec…6 cars on Autotrader at the moment and it’s 5k to 40k

Looking at the Autotrader stats it appears the average mileage is 35k.6 cars on Autotrader at the moment and it’s 5k to 40k

I'm just past 60k now. I had the front end suspension refreshed (some needed it some didn't) and steering rack refresh. The coolant pipes were also done while the subframe was dropped (but didn't really need to be). Rear suspension looked fine and should see another say 20k. I've got all the bits to refresh the rear anyway. Nothing has been done on the engine except for AOS.

Yep, that’s the one! It’s on 22k miles now.
When buying it I had the short shift & sport chrono fitted, so it’s the perfect sporty spec now!
If anyone is interested let me know ASAP as it may well be getting part ex’d imminently
How much is the short shifter and is that Porsche item? Was it an option or always a retro fit? When buying it I had the short shift & sport chrono fitted, so it’s the perfect sporty spec now!

What is sport chrono please?

Nice. Not many seem to be driven! I'm just past 60k now. I had the front end suspension refreshed (some needed it some didn't) and steering rack refresh. One thing I would say... if you're going for a 987 and can afford the up front cost of an R then just do it. Maintenance costs are basically the same as an S (and even a base model in many ways) so if you're going to rack up some miles and generate maintenance bills, you may as well do it on the best 987 platform out there...

Quick question...on the R that I'm collecting later this month, it has under equipment details: Power kit + 20 HP (Engine code) - what is this? Is it just a standard definition for the standard R?
I’m presuming you have done the deal on the 911V CR, congratulations and welcome to the “club”.Andyoz said:
Manual with all the good bits apart from Chrono. I had considered getting it retro fitted for about £600 but didn't bother.

What is Chrono?
Maybe by the time I’m ready you’ll be ready to sell 😉

Sports chrono when optioned was the “stopwatch” on the dash and a sports button gives different throttle response and TC setting
You can retrofit them button and software but not the clock

I have indeed. Due to other commitments, I can't collect until the end of this month...really looking forward to it....night and day compared to my Taycan :-)
Good to hear, not too long to wait. I do like the Taycan but they do look big on the road (what doesn’t nowadays though)
