I was watching this 2 year old Magnus Walker video and at 03:20 he talks about wanting Cayman R. Wonder if he got one as US prices might be creeping up faster than here...

That's class. Magnus's fame was still in it's infancy then I think?

I live in that video when he says he's just got the 996 GT3....because the RS is toon expensive and I buy them to drive them

A few years back I drove past who I thought was him in Aberdeen. Turns out it was him and a pic of my R appeared on his Instagram a few hours later. Think he has family in this area. He liked the look of my car anyway laugh

Hi Guys,

Could someone confirm is I've got the correct P/N's for cayman R (manual) springs? Taken from the parts manual, 99% sure they are correct but just want to check, thanks.

987 343 531 40 504 (front)
987 333 531 96 504 (rear)

These are to go with B8's.

Cheers,
Dunc.

£33K equivalent..

https://www.cars.co.za/for-sale/used/2012-Porsche-...

factor in a few £K shipping and thats £35K for a RHD 17000km R with many boxes ticked. Seems a good deal to me for anyone looking.

20% vat Julian, so this car would be early 40s all in, pdk car

given low mileage might still be attractive

but its a big ask to deal with all that hassle and uncertainty to import it sight unseen just to save a couple of grand

I imported a classic range rover from SA years ago ..that made total sense...no rust and classic cars attract much lower import duty

I think it would be closer to £45k if not more by the time you had it on the road .
And it will always be an import .

The pic was of the back of my car at the traffic lights I stopped at after I passed him. I was about 30 seconds from home and one of his relatives lives the next street along from where I was living at the time. When he's been in Aberdeen he's turned up to a few meets and has been for runs with some of the local Porsche owners.

I really want to see wheels this colour on a peridot car. I think it could look either awful or great. Plenty of pics of green Porsches looking good with gold wheels on Google images, but I've not seen it on a peridot car yet. I do have a bit of a thing for gold wheels though.... I'm blaming the 90s McRae era Imprezas for this. My last car was an Impreza but had silver wheels and I think I've an itch I want to scratch biglaugh

yep I thought I'd share them as I recall some folk here were into the gold wheel combo. It does look good.

Is the import factor a big issue, could be seen as a bonus coming from a warmer climate? but yep I forget on taxes and stuff. Still a good deal I reckon

Has anyone ever seen a CR in white with white wheels?

Was just looking at this JZM RS and thinking how good it looks. Same wheels aren’t they (but centre lock)
