My R seems to have completely killed its battery. Entirely my fault, I haven't driven it in ages and have been meaning to put it on trickle charge, I just keep getting too tied up with other things.
Left it on CTEK charge for around 24 hours. Checked it once, the CTEK indicated it was charged and ready, then checked it again and it was back down to battery state 2/10.
Tried to start it again, still flat. Just get a load of flickering and errors on the dash.
What battery should I purchase, BOSCH? Are they light weight specials or just normals? (No OPC warranty so not stuck to the MOLL now).
Cheers

Thank you both for your reply.
I did try and base my figures on that 1:39 718S lap. I have clearly underestimated how much quicker it is than the CR.
I presume the vast majority of that is mainly down to the turbo-charging? And maybe a second or so from the Pirellis?
nope the p zero are dire , put cup 2 on the 718 and a better geo and you could knock another 1.5 seconds off that time.I did try and base my figures on that 1:39 718S lap. I have clearly underestimated how much quicker it is than the CR.

It's an amazing time the 718, beating the TTRS with 400 bhp and the new M2.

Are you talking about the new N1 P-Zero? I'm sure I have watched a 718 video in which the Porsche technician/ test driver mentioned the new P-Zero had contributed to the fast time. It's an amazing time the 718, beating the TTRS with 400 bhp and the new M2.
Edit to add: it's this video

that's because the old p zero was so poor, any new tyre would be faster, but I would say the Cup 2 is faster again than a p1 P-Zero.Edit to add: it's this video

I cannot be sure as I would never buy a Pirelli tyre over a Michelin.
Torque wins races.

Or should I get the battery out and top up with fluid first before just binning it and buying new?Left it on CTEK charge for around 24 hours. Checked it once, the CTEK indicated it was charged and ready, then checked it again and it was back down to battery state 2/10.

Modern batteries are sealed so not exactly sure what you are going to top up. Just get an equivalent to Bosch S4/S5. Tayna Batteries are oft quoted as a good supplier.
Theres 6 holes in the top where you can apparently top up with de-ironised water.Porsche even suggested this to me when I spoke to them yesterday.

I look forward to the report and how it drives :-)
It's now 15 mm lower than standard, and on totally revised geo settings, Ohlins with new spring rates ..... so we have several changes all at once ... I've only had a quick run out with Pete from CG and the drive home but it feels like we have made some very positive progress .. Thought I'd post quickly on here to say I've just sold my CR to Ashgood. It was a very sad day as I loved that car but I do have to say that Ashgood were awesome to deal with... friendly and very professional. Highly recommended!
Now I just have to save up for the next fresh bit of pork, in the meantime will have to get the S1 upgraded.

have you got any ajustable LCA's and toe links fitted then? as it's a bit limiting what can be done oem with the geo side of things..I run -2.2 camber on one of my cars for the road and it's really good.

Toe arms have been fitted, but CG were able to get the settings they recommend without having to fit adjustable LCA,s. Next thing is a set of Pilot sport 4s, then see how it works out from there.I run -2.2 camber on one of my cars for the road and it's really good.
