Happened to be in my local OPC (JCT600 owned) back in November when their Q1 allocation arrived. Sales guy said model allocation is (and always has been) a total lottery.

He mentioned less 718 allocations than expected, but far more Macan allocations than usual.

Call from OPC - 718 CS is due in this week.

Confirmed I'll pick up on March 1st to get new 17 reg.

Wheee haven't allowed myself to get too excited until I'd had delivery confirmed. Now the countdown really begins and I'll have a little happy dance.

Well what do you know? It's lock down time for the spec on my 718 Cayman! So I think it will have been:

Order 14/7/2016
Lock down 19/2/2017
Expected build completion 28/4/2017

Dealer reckons they might start beating the build completion dates by April. Look like I'm stuck with the extra VED, but on the upside looks like I'll have the car less than 10 months from order. Dealer still has orders that mean the wait times aren't quite reducing yet, but reckons they should come down a bit as the year goes on.

I'm excited!

Good news Liam. I know what struggles it's taken you to get to this point. Must be a relief to get to lockdown.

smile Thanks both. Was hoping to be closer to having all the money by now, so I'm glad to have a little time left to save up.

mad I have just contacted my OPC to check if my Cayman was built on the 23rd Feb & that del to UK was on schedule

NOT happy as they were just going to ring !! & let me know that it's slipped to 10th March !!

Had arranged to take my niece to her wedding venue in my new car on the 17th March..............now it's a Ford Fiesta !!

so far it was to be built 14/2,then 23/2 now 10/3.............If I pick up the extra tax bill I'll be going after them for a reduction in price. mad

Any reason given?

Wondering if it's the same 'held at port' issue that has pushed my delivery back by 1-2 weeks.

Around 200 new Porsches affected apparently.

No, I was told Macan's were stuck @ docks due to PASM s/w updates, but mine is build ! although did say tooling
could be an issue.
I asked them to contact Porsche GB or factory direct & they said they (the factory) is a law unto themselves !!

That was as far as mine got this time last week, before it got held at port along with 200 others.

Hope yours has managed to escape the hold up Bobo.

Ordered in January at Wilmslow, estimated November. Was number 12 on their list at the time.
