Cayman 981 rear shocks.
Discussion
I have cayman 981 2.7 standard kit.
Been driving the car now for 6 months with no problems. Obviously, the more time you spend in the car, the more things you notice.
I have 19inch wheels and have a bit of rough road as I leave my drive.
I am getting a bit of a harsh bonk at the rear on odd occasions, which is not that bad, but sounds a bit like a box just slightly thump.
Would you think this is normal for may car, or would the rear shocks on some cars need replacing at 20k miles.
Cheers
Gadgit.

My 981 S suspension doesn't make any bonks of the sort you describe on rough tarmac - indeed I'd say lack of suspension (as opposed to tyre) noise is one of the cars outstanding features - so I'd definitely investigate further.Been driving the car now for 6 months with no problems. HOWEVER when PSM intrudes, which it does, with no provocation, on the uphill bit of the gravel part of my drive, it's very noisy - a definite mechanical bonk. Switching PSM off (or even going to Sport mode) fixes the problem for me. So I'd try switching PSM off and see if that makes a difference.
