Does the 981 SatNav learn your routes?
Discussion
65-plate 981 CGTS with PCM/SatNav.
The first 3-4 times I did a route to my Mum's and back via Satnav (yes, I know where she and I live, I just like the ETA it gives - informative and a challenge to beat the time) it suggested routes near hers and near ours that weren't ridiculous if you didn't know the locality, but for locals made no sense at all.
So I drove the routes the "locals" would take.
However, repeating the journey yesterday, it definitely offered the "locals" routes near both locations.
Is it clever enough to know that you might know best for repeated journeys?

There doesn't really appear to be anything in the manual, though you can record an offroad route and save it - but I didn't see anything about it applying automatically and not for on-road navigation at all. Some Garmin Sat Navs do have a favourite routes facility which is vaguely similar to what you are getting. Is PCM Garmin based - it's not conspicuously so.
I'm sure a few of us would be interested to know if it does, because I have a similar issue when going to my son's house.

I use my SatNav in a similar way to you... I'm in Colchester, dad in Harrow. Around 10mins from is place the Nav used to offer a route I knew but never took. Now it suggests my alternative route as the primary route. I guess there are some clever algorithms at work.
