Done ;-) now find a real solution to the brakes for every one :-) and the PSM yaw issues ;-)
Thankyou smile

Car just delivered back from local OPC after gearshift cable replacement. Discounted labour rate 'cause it's an "older" car LOL biggrin

If you take a 993 into your OPC for repair, do they pay you to fix it ? nuts (I'm not complaining at the discounted rate BTW).

Heading over to the see the brake specialists with the old standard discs later this afternoon smile

Interesting about the cables.

My Cayman R is reasonably modified and one of the things that came with it (not fitted) was the Numeric cables and billet shifter mechanism.
These were fitted by RPM Technik at the previous owners request and then swiftly returned back to the Porsche OEM short shift as he reported the cold gear selection was too stiff and dint like it.

I have them brand new in my garage and am undecided if I should attempt to fit them back to the car? I'm also worried that the cables in my car may let me down at some point?

Any Cayman R owners had/used the Numeric cables/shifter care to share your thoughts on the setup?
I'd fit the Numeric cables and flog the quickshift. You'll retain the the standard gearshift weight and throw, but gain some increased reliability and make the shift more positive (if the reviews are accuarate).

very nice prices

I've no first hand experience of their kits, but I did some Googling, there was some negative stuff about them. May be brilliant and sensibly priced. As ever, caveat emptor.

Shame about the dodgy Brembo kit, but I do like the look of these but not so keen on the price...

presumably can be bought through a U.K. AP stockist?
I'm doubtful Charlie. Essex is a US company that make their own kits utilising AP calipers and discs/fasteners whilst manufacturing their own bells and caliper mounts. No UK agent that I'm aware of.
