Hi all,
Went for a blast to Goodwood on Saturday and parked her up in the garage , normally stick the trickle charger on straight away but never bothered , just went to start her up for a wash , ignition comes on but turn the key and all sorts of weard st happens , windows go up and down on their own, all warning lights stay on , sports cono gauge goes around in a full circle and just a clicking , guessing it's the starter motor.
Any ideas ? Is it the battery ? I've stuck it on charge so will see in the morning 🙈🙈

Cheers Paul.

Sounds much more like the battery than the starter.

Exactly the same thing happened to my Cayman 987.2 S and it was the useless Moll battery, dead as a dodo. There was no warning at all, one day it was fine, the next the battery wouldn't hold a charge (trickle charging had no effect). Replaced with a Bosch and was noticeably more eager to start - no problems since.
