No and probably won't be the last!

A deposit taken before official announcement is meaningless.
Think they just want some kind of commitment from me to show I'm serious?
Thats okay and its not as if interest rates on deposit are any good!

I think you'll find a wide range of views on whether a 981GTS scrapes on speed bumps and the like, depending on where people drive. Personally I think the ordinary 981 with PASM (not sport PASM) is as low as I want to go. Mine scrapes occasionally and the front apron has become detatched on a couple of occasions. The nose of a 981 GTS (and probably a 718GTS) is more vulnerable than the standard car. I'd avoid having the apron painted because when (probably not if) it scrapes you'll be as upset as a couple of GTS owners who have posted here.

We have a BGTS (with standard PASM) and have very little issues with speed humps or ramps, in fact it doesn't ground as often as our '06 Boxster S did. Having said that we always approach with caution!

'Deposit' down - fingers crossed 🤞 that's me getting a GTS.

First time I've paid a 'deposit' on a car without knowing what it'll cost. First time I've bought a brand new car. First time I've bought a Porsche - few firsts there!! 😬

Top man !!!
Now the sleepless nights can really start :-)

I was in your position back in April 15 when they announced the 981 Spyder.

It's going to be a special car for sure.

Enjoy the ride

Switch it to a 718 GT4. 6 cylinders, naturally aspirated. Unless you like the Turbo vibe (and lag) ?

Have Porsche said they'll definitely be using an NA6 for the 718 GT4?

I started with a £60k budget for a 911...

> Went to dealers to look at PDK Cayman with £40k-£50k budget in mind

> Came here for advice on a £59k boxster ex demo, ended up putting a deposit down for a BOXSTER GTS

Tim you've made a great decision. 982 GT4 / Spyder are 18 months away at least, plus more cash. Enjoy the GTS and see where that takes you :-)

Coast 2 coast offer £1950 and if you look at the price it says on the road so that is the £555 included in the price already but porsche config doesn't add the OTR price.
