Hi all ,
My first year with the Porsche and love it , just had my insurance renewal and a bit shocked at £499 , traded my 360 Ferrari in for it and that was cheaper....... go figure , anyone have a better insurance company ?

Cheers Paul.

I put my details into 'Compare the Market' and limited mileage to 1,500 and cover for SD&P only and pay two hundred & something (but maybe you're a youngster?).

My wife was pleasantly surprised at how competitive NFU Mutual were when renewing her Macan GTS policy. You can specify original manufacturer parts and nominate repairer in a claim with no financial penalty so it definitely worked well for us. Worth a call at least however, I suspect they won't cover track activity if that's a requirement.

Try Admiral Multicar. I have a 987 Spyder and a Macan GTS and the spyder was only £400.
The more cars you add the cheaper they go! My wife's Polo is only £180!

I have in the past found that adding my wife as a named driver reduced the premium. Also I have found that with an annual mileage below 4k, the premium actually rose, so it is worth toying with an insurance configurator, if you have the time.

I'm a bit older than you (62) but I think you qualify for Saga. My 981s is £370 for up to 8k miles p.a.

Each to their own, but Is 1500 miles a year worth the effort?

Cheaper, no idea. It will cost you in the long run.

I'd recommend Manning. Hassle free and very well priced.
