Hopefully shouldn't be long now! Received an email yesterday to say it had been completed and was ready to go to the Port.
Do Porsche give instructions on how long it will take to run the engine in?
Chris
I was told no running in necessary and just to make sure oil temp had come up to 90°. But I decided to start properly opening mine up once I’d hit 1000 miles. Do Porsche give instructions on how long it will take to run the engine in?
Chris
Oil temp takes nearly my whole commute to reach 90° which is why I’ve stopped taking the Porsche to work so often
Opinion on running in varies, but consensus seems to converge on around 1,500 miles for run-in period.
Until that point keep revs below 4k.
As for 90 degree coolant temprerature, that rule should be stuck to as a general rule, not just during running in. Oil temperature is another matter.

The silver really does look good and I really dig the buckets. How are you finding them? I would have had them in a heartbeat had it not been for having to park my car next to my neighbours. I noticed that the driver's seatbelt is routed differently from the passenger seatbelt. Any reason?

Got out early today and managed to take some better shots of my car. Crayon, Sport Design, black Carrera Sport alloys and a few other black exterior trim options :
That looks remarkably similar to the one Sam from SeenThroughGlass has just bought! Did you sell it? Or are there two that looks near enough the same?Edited by Si-3PO on Monday 28th August 09:06
