They seem to be dropping

Cheapest in the country now £113k

Clubsport seems to be a £10k premium.

Question is, do we think these will drop further and going in now a mistake?

It's not just 991.1 GT3 prices that are softening...RS prices are too and at a simialr price point there are a lot more 991 GTS's on the market than ever before. 997.2 GT3's aren't selling as quickly either.

Market is definitely a little but soft but life is too short...if you can afford it....get on with it!

There lies the problem, we could all afford it if we knew it wasn't going to drop £££££. Only those who can afford potential drop should

My take (disclaimer: I know fk all):

  1. There are bound to be more cars for sale and fewer buyers [i]any[/] sports car though autumn and winter.
  2. There are bound to be a few GT3 and RS cars (mostly 991.1, but possibly also 997) being p/exed or sold over the next few months in anticipation of the new 991.2 GT3, GT2, GT3 RS
  3. On upside, the latest engine warranty announcement from Porsche will have helped prices.
I drove 991.1 GT3 and RS at the PEC the other month. I went with an open mind, but with the expectation I would struggle to learn, and therefore not really like the PDK 'box. I came away a huge fan of both cars. they are not for me (not least from a price POV) but nonetheless they're a superb take on what modern sports cars should be IMHO.

Christ! it was only a few weeks ago we were saying that the price of GT3.1 were stable, going slightly up, blah, blah... never ceases to amaze me this forum!

I would have said it was just the seasonal trend, assisted by more than normal being available due to PX against the .2 GT3

After last monday's afternoon driving the new GT3.2 which was very impressive but the car that impressed me the most was the GT3.1 i drove at the PEC in july.I was totally blown away by the gen 1 as i approached it with an open mind and was not affected by very recent pre-conceived opinions swayed by recent press and internet hype.
If the much rumoured recent 10yr engine warranty is cast-iron then its a car you can buy with your head as well as your heart and at an estimated £50k+ discount to the new GT3.2 a veritable bargain to boot..
