Looks great.
Out of interest, why did you go for xenon and not for led's? The price difference between the 2 wasn't great. I didn't go for either. I have adaptive lights on my car at the moment and they are great but nearly all of my driving is in areas with good streetlighting so I just don't use them enough to warrant ticking that option.
I wasn't going to get the interior GTS pack initially. It's a lot of money to spend but once i'd seen it in the flesh I was sold. It really makes the GTS feel even more special.

I've had the xenons before and they were good.I particularly wanted the black trim the option brings but not the adaptive full beam function with the led option as I've found in the past on the mainly B roads I drive on they don't react quickly enough and most of my driving will be in the day anyway as the car is not the main car. I drive a Mini JCW with led lights but without adaptive function day to day.Out of interest, why did you go for xenon and not for led's? The price difference between the 2 wasn't great. I totally agree re the GTS interior. I wouldn't have bought without it.

Are people still not ordering Dual Climate through ignorance or a genuine belief they don't need it ?
This should be simply called "climate control" as the standard fit is simply AC ie no self adjustment of temp control. I know its only small car but setting a temp in any car and not having to then constantly "tinker" with the blower speed and temp is a must for me on any car costing over 2p.
There are lots of "high" spec porsche's out there without this relatively cheap option which can be a barrier to resale, I know not having it stopped me looking at a few cars.
So have new buyers made a conscious decision not to get climate control or do they fall into the camp of "I thought it had climate but this was just dual zone which I don't need in a 2 seater sports car" ?
Of course you could argue a car costing c£70k should have basic climate control as standard but thats porsche for you lol
Edit: I see on the 718 configurator they now call it "Two zone automatic climate control" rather than simply "Dual Climate" but it still implies to those who are not use to porsche that its an upgraded climate control rather than actually adding any form of climate control ! ie without this you just have an A/C unit and have to manage fan speed / blower temp adjustments yourself

I would agree that it is a key option on a higher end model, i.e. GTS. I have spec'd as above. This should be simply called "climate control" as the standard fit is simply AC ie no self adjustment of temp control. You guys seem to like your 718's and I am thinking of buying one.
I have driven both 2.0 and 2.5 Boxster at the Porsche Experience Centre and I think I preferred the 2.0 as it felt a little smoother and still quick enough.
Can you confirm my impression that the 2.0 is faster than a 981S on the road?
I think that I have seen a video of a 718S test in which the reviewer says the car is quicker than a GT4.

I've just taken delivery of a 2.0 and it's a great car plenty of performance etc.I have driven both 2.0 and 2.5 Boxster at the Porsche Experience Centre and I think I preferred the 2.0 as it felt a little smoother and still quick enough.

Faster? I'm not sure, that said certainly as fast subjectively as my 981S, and the extra torque means that the performance is more accessible much of the time once on boost. However catch it off boost and the 981 is more responsive, and off the mark the 718 suffers initially in general driving (typical of many turbos) until boost come up. If you haven't tried a 981S I'd do so - it's a very different sort of engine and many will tell you a far nicer one. I doubt sheer go would be your deciding factor.I have driven both 2.0 and 2.5 Boxster at the Porsche Experience Centre and I think I preferred the 2.0 as it felt a little smoother and still quick enough.

Not sure about the 2L vs 981S. I would imagine very similar in a drag. The 2.5L some youtube video says its faster than the GT4.I have driven both 2.0 and 2.5 Boxster at the Porsche Experience Centre and I think I preferred the 2.0 as it felt a little smoother and still quick enough.

more usuable torque makes the power delivery different when you compare the 2L /3.4L , The 3.4L only sounds fast now, you dont get full power until you're right at the high RPM and then only a short time before you will shift again whereas F4T you have power across the whole rev range then it flats out at the end.
I love turbo cars and the push it does when you step on it.

Have a look at the car and driver website performance reviews. From memory, the 2.0 and 2.5 Caymans with PDK and SC are the first sub 4 second 0-60 variants so faster in a straight line that their predecessors. Pretty sure it is Chris Harris' first 718 Boxster S review, where he said if you were in the previous GT4 and one came up behind you, get out of the way. An anecdotal encounter when I had the 718 Boxster S was following a 997 911 Carerra on an overtake ona country road. I was amazed at how quickly I gained on him and had to back off. Certainly didn't feel like there was any detriment in pickup due to the turbo either.I have driven both 2.0 and 2.5 Boxster at the Porsche Experience Centre and I think I preferred the 2.0 as it felt a little smoother and still quick enough.

I have a 2.0 Cayman now, can agree with the smoother engine comments plus a nicer exhaust note than the 2.5. I don't a notice a performance gulf between the two. The base model is plenty fast enough, plus considerably cheaper.
