Not that I will ever get the chance in a million years, but if I was offered a build slot I'd have to make this happen. Still MASSIVELY teased by the Spyder (same engine as the new GT4?), but again...I am unlikely to be one of the lucky few.

Me neither - can't see an RS version coming, nor one with 450bhp.

An RS version of the Cayman would pose a real issue for the 911 line..... but on the flip side, they'd make them, and sell them all in a day! So you never know....

why bother when they can make more money selling base model 911 T's for £100k lol

RS Cayman would be amazing imo, but cannot see it.

So you dont think these latest pics are of GT4RS as you suggested earlier?

I think the air outlets in front of front wheel shows this is a RS version and it will be here March 18.

Fingers crossed anyway!

I am sure they are not looking for my comments when it comes to marketing advice

I was just posing the question smile

I don't think there will be an RS version - just a GT4 as the entry-level GT product (with a manual box only to slow it down). That's where it sits in the lineup.

Fair enough.

I still thinking a GT4RS is on the way. Make hay while the sun shines....

NASP and manual is almost dead I think:

MX-5
GT86
Mustang
AM Vantage
GT3

Can't think of any others!

Isn't the R8RWS £110k before options? So at least a £125k car once anything like 'normal' spec is applied.

I know Audi like to throw discounts at you, but I would still class the R8 as a price point above the GT4...at least I hope so!!! biggrin

It's a very short list then isn't it!

MX-5 - convertible, not my thing
Mustang - waaaaaaaay to big for UK roads, parking spaces etc

So that leaves GT3, GT4 and Spyder as your only options for a sports coupe in manual with an NA engine.

Audi is well speced, it has sensors, cruise, all Stuff you have to option on a GT4.

also you can BUY one lol just add leather and buckets, it's £115k list with maybe £10k discount lol £105k :-)

Its a nice thing imo

However, as a financial transaction it will most likely be worth somewhat less than what you paid after 12 months unlike the GT4 which will be worth more, so not a great proposition in that regard. However, if money is no object you probably wouldn’t be looking at either. Manual 991.2 GT3 anyone?

Actually, the more I think about it and despite not wanting it to happen I wouldn’t be surprised if we are offered a 3 litre turbo GT4 with a detuned engine from the current 991S.

Presumably Porsche are going to introduce turbocharging to the GT models at some point?

Would they rather cross that line with the 718 or 911 first?
