Yes and just to add to all this, they are a good bunch there now. I've bought quite a few cars from Bolton and they're a pleasure to deal with smile

Be a real shame if they don’t offer a PDK

Has anyone actually managed to leave a deposit/secure a slot on one of these?

My local (claims) to have no idea abt the upcoming GT4
why do people think they can order a car which does not even exist ? there is no car so no slots.

Not 100 percent certain, but I think German dealers accept (or did so in the past) deposits and pre-contracts for cars before launch

Edit: that still did not mean one got a car though / no guarantees

Not logical either, because GT3 with only PDK where later offered MT, so buyers did have their choice.

Currently there are difficulties on the WLTP cycle, so PDK offering on the 718GT4 could be profitable for Porsche on (total) CO2/NOx emissions.

I suppose they could change their minds between now and launch but currently it's a No...

Do you not think that PDK sales would outweigh manuals if it were offered?
I do, but only going on overall sales across the entire Porsche range including the new GT3 (just an opinion).

Still the same fleet testing by the look of it...

EDIT: Except the GT4 now has side scoops and a bigger/re-designed rear wing.

I think you're reading too much into it wink

Just a different design IMHO.

Wing end plates are getting bigger, We've seen that on the new GT3 RS.
Not sure I like the look actually.

Spyder looks ok though..

Just watched the Carfection vid with AP talking about the 991 Speedster.. as we know its a GT3 or more accurately a 991R without a roof. AP specifically says it is a 991R engine and not a Gen2 GT3.

Basically sets the scene for the new 718 Spyder to be a GT4 without the roof.

Interesting times a-coming.

I just hope the GT4 is NA, manual, shorter gearing and I can get one of course!

The first two are a given, the third highly unlikely, and the fourth is down to you smile

Its only manual and a 4 litre but reckon on the gearing to be similar

Shouldn’t be. Will be breaking their own rules to announce 992 before the gt4.
.
I think the Porsche rule book is in tatters after what we've seen this year....GT3 RS orders confirmed and cars having to be specced before the car is launched etc etc

I guess somewhere in this thread is the following clip of a 718 Spyder with what seems to be a 4 pot engine?:

https://youtu.be/9l6npj5Ukmk

Seems they've been on the road in Germany for 4 months? Doesn't look like a prototype.
