To confirm £90k list is correct. Will push the speculators out as there won’t be enough premium in one, even myself that buys GT cars at list would agree that 90k is a massive chunk over the Previous car
If it is 450-460 hp GT3 engine, even at 90K you will have huge demand for them and big premiums!cormeist said:
Think we all may be shocked at actually how good the GT4 is going to be, I am prepared to pay that sort of money if we get a GT3 engine with a manual shift, We all knew the first GT4 was too reasonable/cheap, put it this way, you can easily spec a 718 GTS to 70k....
Based upon what?… I'd like to know that too. What's your source?
The 981 GT4 was cheap because the engine came from an existing car, the gearbox from other 981s and the front end from the GT3. The only really bespoke parts were the rear suspension. I don't think it was too cheap, it didn't cost much to make or develop.
In contrast, the 718 GT4 will need either the old 981 shell or a bespoke one and the engine will be unique to that model (for now). I can see it being a fair bit more than the old one, not sure about £90k though.

Indeed, based on what and who said?I do think through that £90k is reasonable considering that the GT3 is £111k so £21k cheaper for the Cayman version with a new 4 litre engine.
Why should it be any cheaper when you think about it now it possibly has a more bespoke motor?
If they did provide it with 450hp then it's a massive jump over the old car and would be as fast as a GT3 in the real world.
Porsche does listen to it's customers so maybe they're listening now?
Personally I would reckon on 430hp and 450hp for an RS PDK version if that ever materialised.
I think there are people on here that plant seeds with no info whatsoever just to create a stir

the issue is, one would buy a GT3, the GT4 selling point for me was price, at £90k plus £15k options it's then not value.
I cannot see it being anymore than £75k anyway, it's not a GT3.

Touring version as well. Hopefully these will be additional cars that should put off speculators hoping to make a profit
