Porsche car production has increased massively compared to pre 2010.
Maybe but the customer base and general useability of GT cars have both increased massively too.....we are back again to the subject of what levels of production constitutes a rare car. There are more factors at play here than just supply and demand witness 223 981 Spyders v 585 GT4s...the former being more a niche car.The 1200 458 Ferraris are hardly rare in the grand scheme of things and yet even 7 year old 458 Italias can sell for list and have for some time now.....admittedly further buoyed by turbo 488 and Ferraris 7 percent new car price hike.
Doubtful if the 718 GT4 will exceed the 585 UK 981 production number especially with restricted capacity and the weak pound.....could well be the new car production numbers for UK will be proportionately fewer as per the gen 2 GT3.
The price increase on the new car will of course be less than the 718 Spyder following model role reversal after the 981.

I love the 981 GT4. The MA1 certainly delivers enough punch and sounds absolutely incredible, but....the GT4 is just not 100% GT, maybe 99.9%.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a deal breaker and I'd do 100k miles and every one of those miles would keep me smiling, but....(sorry, another but) the MA175 from the 991 GT3 is simply the best engine I have ever had my right foot connected to.
So the 718 simply needs a motorsport based engine and I'm all for less capacity (say 3.6), if it keeps the performance point in a happy place for the marketing department, but solid lifters and nine thousand revolutions per minute. Yes please.

The engine in a GT4 is 0% GT merely being a strangled and detuned Carrera S engine.
I find it odd you say this all the time as you never track any of your cars.To that point the GT4 has been far more usable than any past GT3 for road use.
It's also in the 981 SPyder which you love which is detuned even more !

P/X his car for a incoming gt3 probably so has changed course from incessantly talking it's value up
Nah unlike you who flipped and cashed in on your GT4 soon after delivery, I still own and use mine.If I was interested in max profit I would have sold it flipping it shortly after delivery like you did.

True but for the millionth time.....the 981 Spyder has no pretensions of being a GT car unlike the GT4.Not just me who finds the Spyder the better car in fact Richard RSVP has just sold his GT4 and kept his 981 Spyder.......these cars are keepers.

That's a bit harsh! Other than a PEC half day you didn't really get to experience the 981 GT4 before you bought it. I'm guessing Mr Isaldiri bought it, found it wasn't for him and moved it on. I'd have done the same thing. If I was interested in max profit I would have sold it flipping it shortly after delivery like you did.

Well if I was interested in flipping it I'd have sold it without driving it instead of trying to put on 2k more miles after the first 2k to convince myself the car was as good as it was said to be. It wasn't. If selling the car after 4k miles because I simply didn't think it was good enough to keep is a flip to you then so be it. If I was interested in max profit I would have sold it flipping it shortly after delivery like you did.
I now own a 991.2 GT3 but I have to say that there are some very spoilt people on here if you think the GT4 isn't a very good car.... and if not as good as you were hoping then what the feck were you hoping for?!
The GT4 is a great car and at 65k you simply can't compare it to a modern GT3, even a 997 GT3 really although it gives a good comparison.
It is what it is and its bloody good at it.
