We've seen that car several times before with the track seat albeit I don't think I've noticed the driver with a helmet whilst on track (too busy looking at the car?) I'd be looking to youtube to confirm the date of these images.

There is this recent video of a different car, race helmet and seat.

Indeed, but it has the latest wheels from the Cayenne coupe, the plastic vents on the front bumper, the fully completed rear bumper/exhaust and the very latest larger rear wing, plus there's a 2019 sticker in the window. It's a fairly recently snapped car by the look of it.

I think it sounds ok in that link GTSRalph posted above. It kind of sounds more air cooled Porsche to me, pretty cool?

Front end is nice, wheels not as nice as the 981 for me and the rear not so good, kind or prolapsed!
Maybe the production car in white will look nice.

Well at least it confirms there's a manual gearbox in the lineup.

It also eludes to being another lower revving unit like the old MA1. To be fair it sounds better than I expected with the GPF.

Seems like the Boxster/Cayman Touring with a Flat-6 will be a real thing... a convenient way for Porsche to side step the 6-pot in a 718 - and a nice final filler before they go electric in the mid-engine platform.

Crikey, I didn't think I'd have any reason to swap my 981 BGTS for one of the current lineup, but that looks rather tasteful and appropriately understated whilst nicely grrrr'd at the same time.

The things I'd change about my GTS are (not 6 cyl noise obvs) infotainment system, slow steering and would like a bit more torque. Looks like the touring is gonna be right up my street.

Oooooh......tempting! I love the GT4, but can't help thinking I would look a bit stupid in it wearing a suit (it would be a daily)....this could be the answer! I hope it comes with the proper GT4 alloys and not the less aggressive 'spyder' alloys.

Ah, I see. I don't mind the Spyder Alloys...but if it were a GT4 touring, I'd want it to reflect the same spec as the GT3 touring has to the standard GT3.

Anyway...thought those alloys would be a little too big for your tastes, dear fellow?!

agree it doesn't look much like a GT model sans wing.

a proper GT car with all the trimmings except the wing would be an exciting prospect but that doesn't look like it follows the GT3 Touring recipe at all.

To be honest, any 6 engined 718 manual, that isn't in the unobtainable category and I can walk into an OPC and order.... will do me just fine!
