Looks like P have binned the older folding bucket seats option in favour of the fixed buckets.
Still available on the Spyder, just not on the GT4.

Which is a shame as folding are just more comfortable than fixed.

Might be limited availability short term, with regard to how many they can churn out each month.
So not so different from the gen2 gt3 then......

Called mine, offered a deposit, and they said we'll put your name on the list, and when we know more (presumably allocations) we'll let you know what's happening. Didn't sound like they knew much more than stuff we've all seen.

Mine has said the same - roughly another two weeks before they know allocations.

Yep, UK OPCs are waiting for allocations and while compiling interested parties lists. I suspect they'll be quite long...

Mine also said the same - should know more in 2 weeks, and those who make the cut will be contacted. Seems they have a fairly robust approach nowadays - so presumably the long standing customers are most likely to get one and so on down the list. I would be surprised if any ‘new’ Porsche customers were able to get one.

Well it was definitely a fabulous way of spending a small fortune.

It’s only recently risen from the dead, having been mired in what a good friend refers to as the “Fearnsport graveyard” for 12 months smile

Thanks Rob.
The well-being of the planet wasn’t uppermost in the Motorsport department’s mind when they specced the cam profiles for the Cup engines ...

Yep all looks pretty as we expected. I'm not sold on the looks of the Spyder, I think the 981 is a prettier car, far prettier.
The GT4 needs to look aggressive and it does.

I'm having one in white with platinum wheels and steels, buckets, leather and red interior bits. I'll keep it for a while I should think so I'm not bothered about values but I honestly can't think that everyone will get one. They said this last time, that its not a limited run car and all the mags were banging on about how you should be able to buy one if you want one in the early stages. Didn't happen that way and it'll be similar this time.

Also, if everyone really can have one, not everyone will now want one! Probably half of the customer base only want this car as its free. Add depreciation in to the equation and now half can't actually afford it!

I still think we'll see 600 cars/ 800 (although 2 DP's have told me that they think we'll see sub 500 cars) but orders could be lower if Porsche confirm that they'll make as many as customers demand.

... Told you it was a 4.0 and that the Spyder was a soft top GT4 smile

Yes, you'll have the mags saying plenty of supply but you'll never see porsche confirm this and then you get 'limited supply' written on the configurator just to add fuel to the fire.

We'll see 'overs' on these cars for some time I would think ...

Are they up on the configurator? Someone said (ChrisW) that you get access from the back end?

Yep, select a Cayman or Boxster GTS then change the model within the configurator. GT4 and Spyder are listed.
