Anyone got confirmed build slot yet for either car?
Considering they are saying that they will be building quite a few of these, info on allocations seem to be even rarer than last time around!dysart200 said:
Congrats, expect that will be one of the 1st UK cars. I've not come across anyone else who has deposited and got confirmed build # etc. I'm caught in 2 minds just now as I sold my GT4 a couple of months ago and driving the family car is killing me! If I get an early Spyder I'll just wait but if I have to wait right through until Spring next year may need to get something else first (That's if I even get an allocation). Looking at 981 Spyders and 987 R's....not easy to find the right spec. Did everyone spec white on the 981 Spyder?!
981 Spyder is an epic car and I can’t believe that the new one can be much better so I wouldn’t worry too much if you can or can’t get an allocation - best of luck either way anonymous said:

I asked about pdk and said I may be happy to wait if they did. The response back was Porsche have not confirmed they will even be making a pdk gt4 so if I waited it would be at my risk. Did down my head says manual will make the car more engaging drive for what I want.
Even if pdk is an option I can’t see it being the same box as the gt3 unless it’s a pricey upgrade.

With the right gear ratios as is the case with the GT3, a ''manuel' box would be a no brainer for the GT4. With the same ratios as the 981 and with a lighter clutch, the choice is less less clear cut. Did down my head says manual will make the car more engaging drive for what I want.

White was the most popular UK colour with 78 out of 227 cars. Followed by GT silver with 62 cars.Mines white with leather red stitching (of course) carbon, heated buckets and satin wheels.
Gentian looks like it could be one of the most popular colours for the 718.
But as a colours go, it is a particularly dire range this time from Porsche.

AP in his interview with Henry on Carfection confirmed that a PDK would be coming, but not for this year. Likely mid/end next year and into 2021.Did down my head says manual will make the car more engaging drive for what I want.

Agree on colours - really poor choice : No grey , no new colours , very limited Mines white with leather red stitching (of course) carbon, heated buckets and satin wheels.
