Likely a Porsche family member car!
It is more likely to be a management car from their Werkswagen programme. They try out different paint colours on management cars which anyone can pre-book to buy when the car has reached 20,000 km. I looked at this earlier this year but the forecast prices were higher than market and of course the cars are LHD.

Hi R are you going GTS/classic again for the Spyder?

Will probably go Guards again on the GT4. The Gentian looks a touch dull.
Actually going off piste ; spec of Spyder looks like the GT4 image below - Miami / PCCB’s / Platinum rims. In real life I love Miami ; never looks right in images though - impossible to photograph accurately.

My ‘73 & my GT3 are both Silver - can’t end up with another.

Agree that Gentian is dull , Yellow & Crayon look epic on GT4 but don’t work as well on a rag top. Black loses the shape of the Spyder (esp on the deck lid) - metallic black would have been better in this respect - especially if you could have added gold wheels a la the GT4.

I think it will look good in White but I have a thing about white cars looking flat/cheap. GR again looks better on a Coupe than a soft top. In truth the colour choice is woefull. I imagine most will end up GTSM as this really shows its curves very well.

It is a pity that there are no new model specific colours, though that said most of these end up as standard offerings on other models.

No PTS now or rumored to appear, obviously to deter collectors and flippers.

Miami will probably be quite rare on the Spyder. Good to see you toning it down a bit after yellow!

I'd watch the stitching colour as anything other than platinum i.e. Miami/red Miami/Miami can be hard work. Although each to their own of course.

Great choice.

After reading all the reviews on both the 718 GT4 and Spyder i've decided to keep my 981 Spyder for now..I don't like what they say about the new cars soundtrack which for me personally is one of the main selling points for GT Porsches..Its what gives a sports car soul and character in complete contrast to the latest high HP turbo cars..Its what ultimately made me lose interest in the 488 and bought a 458 instead..
In the cut and thrust of our typical congested road network my 981 Spyder is already too fast let alone my 458..For that reason alone i'm really drawn towards a nice Performante as opposed to a 600LT.
All subjective at the end of the day however sports cars need soul and make a really nice noise to attract me.

Um, think you will find a performante considerably quicker on the road than the 458...

Plat stitch and brushed black interior trim to make the cabin very neutral - colour outside does all the work smile

You want yellow stitch and seatbelts to match the PCCBs.

Go big or go home wink

I’m thinking of either GTSM with roof etc on mine, or Miami Blue with yellow belts etc

Coming as someone who races and loves speed, the Performante feels inappropriately quick at times.

I'm selling it as I need the money, but to be honest I do think it's a step too far and has basically turned me off modern supercars. It's absolutely brilliant, but the accessibility of the speed with paddleshift, 4WD, driving aids and Trofeo R tyres are a recipe for jail time.

To think faster cars are getting launched all the time blows my mind! We... or at least I... don't require that level of speed.

Having said that, I will be sad to wave goodbye to such a fantastic naturally aspirated car. Not many around these days.

Am fortunate to even have a choice here - but am probably in agreement. Can live with the gearing - but loosing that 981 Spyder sound ??? Um.
...Hoping for a couple more reliable reviews ASAP.
