Actually, it's an GT3 RS unit...

If that clinches it for you.

Seems like pricing is the same as for new parts ?! £1250 for the steering wheel is pretty much what a new one costs.

Estimated retail value, £20,200?

Someone's doing very well out of this. No wonder a local breaker to me is purchasing his FIFTH Carrera GT (one in every colour) !!!

est value £20k

I just don't get who is going to buy all the parts listed though, as some one said they are about retail price after a discount.

I guess people can make offers, but who needs RS parts ?

I suspect they know what they're doing. Of course some items are not RS specific and some represent good value. I have actually bought something off this car and found CT very good indeed to deal with (usual disclaimers; no affilliation etc) with excellent service.

I've bid on the cupholders, they survived the crash quite well I thought.

Any gearbox of any Turbo and up, with normal mileage (i.e. 50k ish) is worth 10 grand all day so a very low miles PDK off a GT3 RS must be worth double that, or perhaps a shade less considering that finding a buyer who specifically wants a GT3 RS one may be difficult.

The engine? No less, definitely.

So that's 40 grand accounted for.

how do they get the valuations so wrong?

there was a guy in the super car section who crashed his f430, the insurance paid out and valued the car for parts @4k IIRC, so he bought if off them and sold them for over 40k, so there is serious amount of money you can make off these.
