Dealer Prices Increased For 981 CGTS - Reaction To 718 GTS?

No stone chips on mine and for a relatively little optional extra cost really makes the GTS specific features stand out. I had the chance to compare mine to two other GTS’s without it at a car show last year and it really made a difference. It was actually on my “must have” list just as much as the GTS interior pack.
There are a lot more “bits” to it than you first realise including roll over hoops, side mirrors, etc....
What other bits are included? thought it was just front valence, rear diffuser, side intakes , mirrors and roll over hoops ? so basically the plastic bitsThere are a lot more “bits” to it than you first realise including roll over hoops, side mirrors, etc....

089 GTS black exterior package. Painted black (high-gloss):- Front spoiler and air intake
- Lower section of exterior mirrors
- Side air intake
- Rear apron

Exterior pack is just black gloss paint on the plastic parts - easily added to your car if you must have it.
I thought it was too shiny and looked out of place with satin platinum wheels so I didn't spec it. It's also prone to stone chips on the front splitter/bumper inserts/air intakes along with scrapes on the splitter.
I think it ruins the car, makes it look chav/cheap, but each to their own I suppose!I thought it was too shiny and looked out of place with satin platinum wheels so I didn't spec it. It's also prone to stone chips on the front splitter/bumper inserts/air intakes along with scrapes on the splitter.

I don’t seem to have any of the rear valance or close up of the mirror bases on my car. The black gloss front valance ties in much better with the black gloss of the headlights and just makes the GTS black bits look finished ;-)

What, the plastic bits unpainted? No-one complains about them on GT cars...EDIT: Sorry, I think you mean having them painted looks chav/cheap. Not sure I'd go that far, but painted splitters and diffusers just look wrong to me...

I think it was a GTS only option so you could not have it on a GT car even if you wanted it. It would cost you a lot more than the option cost to get it done retrospectively. Its another GTS only option which was well worth having

Not to me and my spec/tastes it wasn't I think it works better if you specced gloss black wheels, and maybe turbos. With satin platinum wheels the standard satin plastic looks best to me, and a lot of other buyers from new it seems

Agree, but not many have, which makes it a bit more special. Each one to his own of course. Mine's Jet Black and I think it looks rather fab. Enhanced further by the Zunsport grilles, also in gloss black.I'd have thought most GTSs have the dual climate though...
To me GTS exterior pack looks great, the standard matt finish looks unfinished and cheap. Our car is carrara white metallic, the GTS exterior pack gloss finish combined with the gloss black (partially) 20” Carrera S wheels receives many compliments. I kept the same black / white theme inside the car with the standard black full leather / alcantara combined with interior package painted with trim strips and centte console in carrara white ( to my eyes the carbon makes the interior coal-cellar dark, and was a very expensive option at over £2k. Each to their own of course!

As I said - it all depends on your wheel combo and what look you're after.
I'm also CWM, satin platinum wheels, plastic unpainted. More GT car than shiny cruiser
They’re you go I don’t like the satin platinum wheels - to my eyes they look like dirty standard colour wheels - be boring if we all like the same things!I'm also CWM, satin platinum wheels, plastic unpainted. More GT car than shiny cruiser

Indeed!
.....Unlike the GTS interior
won’t rise to that one I’m afraid! Initially we did specify the GTS interior, only changed it when we visited the dealer who had a CWM 991 with the interior package painted and we both simply preferred it, cost was a secondary issue to be honest although by the time we’d ticked boxes for PTV, PCCB, PDK etc we did end up with quite an expensive GTS! Only regret was not selecting the 18 way adaptive seats......Unlike the GTS interior

You would be surprised, I think most don't have it. Its none of the things I look for on interior shots (sad I know) as you can tell from the button configuration if it has climate or not.I'd have thought most GTSs have the dual climate though...
Its classic Porsche calling it "dual climate" which implies you already have single climate when in fact it should just be called climate as the standard is none. I often wonder how many people spent £15k on options and then realise they don't have basic climate control lol
There is the argument that you don't need climate in a small interior roadster, often made by those without it ;-) but the fact is the smaller the cabin the more volatile the interior temp can be so having automatic climate is more useful. Same with the convertible aspect, in really hot weather with roof down it does not really matter as you just wack it on full power BUT often if you've been driving open top a lot in heat you need a break with the roof down, auto climate is then a godsend.
I've not checked but I guess there will be c10 for sale on autotrader and I'd bet at least 5 of those don't have climate ;-)
Edit: I've checked and there are 12 for sale on Autotrader, 8 with and 4 without so not as high as my perception but still a high percentage given what is spent on options on these cars.
