Doubt they managed to steal it for that. The last one I found like this was bidding late 50s in the trade and I didn't get offered this one frown My Z4 guy is chomping at the bit but can't get it for the right money frown

I thought deliveries of 718 gts's were starting around now ie last week in January, so physically only just on the road. The prices for 981 gts are mainly OPC as private have dropped under the £50k and are still available so the seller sells to the trade who whack the price up. As for investment you could buy the one you have mentioned but its trade value is around £45k- £48k
I've had a trade in offer (OPC) for my GTS well above that, as that's one owner (me) with 12,600 ish miles on the clock.

Yes, thats correct. Even if they have offset the car a bit against the new one, it still stands my trade in with a lot more than the figures you have mentioned.

Very Nice! I was offered a bit more for mine but it pretty much does have everything on it, plus they seem very keen to buy it.

Ive no doubt that what you have been offered as a trade in but to get that offer youve got to spend another £50k plus on a stock car with lots of extras.
An ex Porsche saleman posted regulary on here and always said that they would never discount a car but would give higher than normal trade in.
Proof of the pudding would be asking him to buy it at that price or trade against a cheaper car (the other guy bought a Macan GTS), as there is more money in a more expensive car.
Manual GTS's are rare and more sought after with only around 130 registered in the uk.

135 were registered, so they're fairly rare - as is any manual 981.

However, they're not particularly sought after in general. PDK models are far more abundant, as demand for them was higher when new, and used PDK models seem to sell quicker/easier than manuals. I think manuals may potentially be more desired in the future, as buyers seek to capture that old-skool driving experience alongside a NASP engine, but for now they hang around for sale in OPC showrooms unless they're specced as a GT4-lite with buckets/X73 suspension etc.

AndyCGTS has a PDK car I believe, and along with the high spec he chose makes it a car that I would think would sell fairly easily at a high price. Hence the generous trade-in value.

My car, being a manual with PASM and Sports Seats Plus (but a few nice road-car-spec options) is clearly only worth buttons biggrin

Yes, my car is a PDK car along with Buckets, PTV, PCCB and X73 plus everything else on the options list which could be ticked. laugh

Can I ask why you are questioning the values of the figures people have been quoting?

Are you looking to buy one or have an interest in the secondhand market?
