I took my 991 gt3 to silverstone, they seemed a lot more pleasant than my local (Leicester), collected and delivered the car, also repaired a faulty instrument cluster, renewed the warranty and gave me some mints, washer additive and some great shaped paper clips on the invoice.

Bill was eye watering as it’s a job I could have done myself but it was the warranty criteria for renewal.

is "fixed price service" even a thing any more?

can't find any info online and all prices i'm being quoted are different and OTT. over a grand for the 6 yr service?

i'd like to extend the warranty for piece of mind hence needing an OPC service but i'm really not a fan of dropping my pants.

what did you guys pay for your 6 year service?

Can't help with the price of the service, but its always a fun decision process to get the warranty. Was determined on mine, but they do love putting littel obstacles in the way. Last one was a quick post-Covid 111point check, because of time elapsed, and all of a sudden two things had stopped working (no lights on the dash though) and we dont like mixing allseason and summer tyres. Hmmm

PCGB should give you a 10% discount on parts (and if they aren't paying attention, on labour as well)

well my tyres are all in good condition still and everything seems to be working ok so hopefully no surprises there.

one OPC is saying that the drive belt replacement is optional - does everyone have this replaced @ 6yrs? recommended every 60k miles/6yrs and mine has done around 26k miles.

It's time dependent as well as mileage. I'd personally get it done, not sure why it's optional rather it's in addition to the price of the regular service.

Had my Boxster serviced in November and the Fixed Pricing was still going on then. According to the info at the time a 6yr service for a Cayman/Boxster was £775

I believe however that not all dealers signed up to doing this so shop around

I don't think that the Fixed Price at Participating Centres arrangement is still going. The last posted information was to 31st December 2019 although some PCs still charge those rates. My car was serviced at PC Chester in June at the Fixed Price rate.

Which car and year do you have? I have some as pdfs.

that's so much better, and it's for a major... where abouts are you based?

i've tried Tonbridge, Guildford, Brooklands and Reading and they're all over £1k, some well over.

Hope you can read this. Prices include VAT and the items in the upper table.

GT4 and Spyder are same price (apart from GT4 £625 at 2/ 20,000 and Spyder £995 at 4/ 40,000) but I couldn't fit them into the image.
